Obviously he is a compromise. Nearly everyone else she has picked has been a Truss supporter, either throughout the whole campaign or once their main candidate had dropped out. She isnā€™t in a position to pick whoever she wants now.

Old Doctor Who is great, but you have to be very discerning.

Old Dr Who was and is brilliant. And shit. Tennent brought in a new age which Smith polished to diamond status.

Except you dont enact a large tax cut designed to stimulate growth during an energy and fiscal crisis, at a moment in time when you probably have to inject money into the economy, and fund it with taking up loans. Because thats not fiscally conservative/prudent. Particularly the fund it with loans bit.

Theyā€™ll have to make sure the energy companies donā€™t make taxpayers pay extra to make up for the windfall tax put on them
