UK Politics Thread (Part 2)

Even Italy come across as a stable, politically levelheaded country when compared to this.

Can we please get some adults in the room?

The Tories are done. If they were a dog, you’d be reaching for your shovel.

Whereas this lot are burying themselves. Boz and Rishi back in by Haloween?

But better than Labour still?

Obviously. Labour would be bare knuckle boxing in the division chamber and burning ÂŁ50 notes in the treasury.

Served on a pork pie!

She doesnt have much choice - these latest two appointments are Sunak supporters i think so she has little sway in choosing new appointments.

As a party they got rid of a lot of there more competent experienced MPs at the last election. So there is a smaller pool from which to draw from.

Why, what do you do to them?

We haven’t had to host a children’s party yet…but I’m hoping all the parents are suitably impressed by my plan for a Lord of the Flies theme.

The clowns in government today should thank their lucky stars that they had two years of a pandemic , and now a global energy crisis , that offered them an alibi for their absolutely disastrous decision to decouple from Europe in the most reckless manner that they were able to contrive. Anybody still defending this nonsense has no claim to be taken seriously , and that obviously applies most pertinently to Truss and her cohorts.

One of the most sobering points made in the film is to be reminded that as recently as 2015 the only people who supported leaving the European Union across the entire UK political spectrum was that band of disparate , nationalist , misfits who made up UKIP. At that time everybody else thought it an absolutely crazy idea.

It’s astonishing that this madcap project somehow became political orthodoxy in such a short space of time. History will not be kind to the people who enabled this act of gross self-harm.

You have hated the last three Tory leaders. Possibly four. I can’t remember what your opinion of Cameron was.

At some point you are going to have to wake up to the reality that your problem is with the Conservative party, and not with the odd problematic leader. At what point are you going to realise that this is what it is? There is no real Conservative leader coming. The whole tree is rotten.

You’ll see a few on here still clinging to the fantasy, claiming that it just wasn’t implemented properly. Which is ironically the same argument Communists use to defend their ideology in the face of reality.
