In many ways, the poisoned chalice aspect of the role is exactly what the Tories need. It should dissuade all these chancers interested in only self promotion from taking it on and leave it only to the actual professionals content to knuckle down and do the job. If there are any of them left in the party.

Why? Any news that gets you in the news is good news in the current climate - what there is of it on any level. For example Braverman, Baker and Truss will be looked on as being high profile, a brand that’s had broad exposure rather than anything they actually did or do. Truss will be given respect and her voice will carry the weight of a former PM. Likewise Braverman’s as a former cabinet post holder (felt like leaving holder out…).

Only if he is the worst of the pair. That’s how it’s been going, right?

Hope Truss re-decorated, nothing better than burning tax-payers’ money.

Bloody hell you sleep in late one time and miss the resignation of yet another Tory PM :joy:

Oh well I`m sure I’ll catch the next one in November.

According to the Torygraph, MPs will vote over the weekend and the final two will be put to the membership on Monday.

That worked well last time.
