This thread has to be the most sidetracked ever.
Budget is interesting - the 1% pension measure will attract the usual criticism, and it perhaps should, but the budget is striking for what it doesnât do. It doesnât do much of anything. No increase in spending to shore up a point of vulnerability. No decrease in taxes to spur investment/make rich richer/your choice of characterizations, but no increase in taxes either. Seems like a stay-the-course budget in the middle of what appears from the outside to be an economy not quite in crisis, but seemingly struggling.

Rarely win arguments with airport security, best to smile and say ok.
He wanted the one that Mrs bought for me for my 21st. Wasnât giving it up.
Funniest was taking a CO2 analyser through Belfast airport hand luggage. Picture a shoebox sized collection of circuit boards, stainless steel tubes and a 4x7 seg digital readout. You couldnât make a more convincing time bomb. They never even looked at it.
Lots of them awkward for awkwardness sake, and zero consistency.
Was getting a real hard time off one bitch a few years ago at Heathrow.
Changed her fucking tune when I asked to see her supervisor to complain about her being racist.
