Come round to my house sometime
Still wish I’d taken that wager you offered me that Johnson wasn’t finished
I have a feeling it’s not over yet…
Not sure I’m even seeing the shift he’s seeing… If you break it down per pollster it’s a lot of noise in general:
YouGov: 22 (28 Feb - 01 Mar) → 22 (07 Mar - 08 Mar) → 19 (15 Mar - 16 Mar)
Techne: 18 (01 Mar - 02 Mar) → 17 (08 Mar - 09 Mar) → 17 (15 Mar - 16 Mar)
Survation: 16 (02 Mar - 03 Mar) → 16 (13 Mar - 15 Mar) → 16 (18 Mar - 20 Mar)
Savanta: 11 (03 Mar - 05 Mar) → 15 (10 Mar - 12 Mar) → 14 (17 Mar - 19 Mar)
Redfield & Wilton: 26 (05 Mar) → 21 (12 Mar) → 21 (19 Mar)
PeoplePolling: 21 (01 Mar) → 08 (12 Mar) → 17 (19 Mar)
Opinium: 17 (01 Mar - 03 Mar) → 15 (08 Mar - 10 Mar) → 15 (15 Mar - 17 Mar)
Omnisis: 19 (02 Mar - 03 Mar) → 24 (09 Mar - 10 Mar) → 21 (15 Mar)
Deltapoll: 16 (02 Mar - 06 Mar) → 23 (10 Mar - 13 Mar) → 10 (17 Mar - 20 Mar)
Brackets are the dates the survey was conducted, looking only at the lead of the first-placed vs second-placed parties, and pollsters with more than one survey since 01-ish March.
I spent a couple of minutes trying to understand what a ‘November Well’ was. Then it finally clicked. A little bit of grammar goes a long, long way, YouGov.
I think Sunak would be well advised to ensure that Johnson is thrown out of parliament. If he wants to draw a line between himself and this shambles then he needs to show that he has respect for both law and democracy. Starmer already has that in buckets. If Sunak is seen as being soft or turning a blind eye it will come back to haunt him.
You mean by putting pressure on the Tory members on the committee ?
Yes. Otherwise Johnson and his chums will hang about like Major’s SH1Ts.
Personally, I’d rather see the back of all of them but the sooner the willfully destructive ones go, the better.
It will be interesting to see if Sunak can go that far. However it probably wont happen as the party will want to avoid a sizeable split this close to an election…
Bloody well done you! I’d have done the same.
The French now to do a good protest and a sing song in between the riots.
Our lot played D-Dreeam’s things can only get better and Arctic Monkeys and you look good on the dancefloor!
Don’t understand what the reason for this is
Well at least two have found a new home.
Which suggests that their deselection was warranted.
The rest of the story is unclear, although it does seem heavy handed.
