It’s difficult to say. Right now only MPs are voting on the candidates but when that opens up to Conservative members for the final two candidates, then things may change.
Polling shows Mordaunt has a healthy lead in these polls - those stock navy and army videos really worked a treat - but then we have to factor in how those Conservative members supporting an eliminated candidate will then vote once their candidate is out.
I don’t know enough about any of the Tory candidates to say how they ideologically align with the couple hundred thousand Tory members once we start getting to them having to choose second or third choice candidates.
It does seem that the members (as opposed to MPs) want a clean break from Johnson so they’ll go for the unicorns and rainbows of untested Mordaunt. They do unicorns and rainbows well.
If they were all on fire and I really needed to piss, I’d probably choose to wet myself.

Tory special split the female vote so the men are left standing.
