UK Politics Thread (Part 3)

An opinion piece in the guardian. As impartial as in game posts on here about the ref.

And every single article in the DMG, PLC and Murdoch print media is an opinion piece masquerading as an editorial.

At least the Guardian are honest about it.

I hope no photos will be used in the ā€œmy dick’s bigger than yoursā€ competition in here

We already have a sufficient number of dicks.

No photos but if @Commando question on how to upload phone videos… We might not like what we are going to see…

It doesn’t have to be impartial. It’s an opinion piece. It isn’t the news.

The points made are excellent.

Out of interest, did you read it?

You’ll love it. Trust me.:nerd_face:

… and you prove the point …

So, the government want students to train as doctors on the job.

Why are the BBC giving these pricks airtime?

I expect that they could pick up most things from YouTube videos and the University of Facebook.

I mean they start them out on cadavers for a reason.

I honestly don’t know what to say about that. I’m not surprised but I am shocked at where my thoughts go when I really think about it.

And now they don’t have a single elected sitting person, anywhere, at any level.

The end.

(Until some ghoul gets an invite to Question Time)

Is that because they have achieved their goal

Hey, our GP knows less about medicine than my tomato plants. Either take two before bed or referred to a person with a double digit IQ.

Worst thing about the GPs in the UK is the let’s wait and see attitude.

To get a referral you often need to go in over a several months complaining about the same thing.

Means things are not diagnosed for months or years.

My missus saw 2 different GP’s early December last year, about persistent abdominal pains.
Sent away by both of them saying nothing to worry about, but that they’d get her an ultrasound appointment in about 2 weeks.
2 days later, after me coming home early from work to take her to hospital, she’d had a ruptured appendix and half a metre of colon removed.

Back in the 90s I went to the GP a couple of times regarding a dodgy knee and his advise on the 2nd visit was to get a private consultation, for Ā£80, (which back then for a student was about 7-8 nights out) to get referred. Within a couple of months I had keyhole surgery to repair a torn meniscus…

Agree that GPs are a difficult interface.
