The UK allows synogoges to opperate under Jewish law and conduct Beth Din, Jewish marrage and divorce and kosher food certification which is much how muslims and the mosques want to apply Sharia law - it follows their faith beliefs within the UK law, so my question is why are people so opposed to Sharia law when they don’t make issue with Beth Din?

Am I not allowed to introduce a new topic? In fact this has come up previously and is important for the reasons I have stated.
I have lived in London and spend time there every year visiting friends. Yes, it’s probably more dangerous than Tunbridge Wells, but it’s been a major city since Roman times, and has been much more dangerous in most of its history than now. The rates of serious crime are falling, and there are numerous sources to show that if The Economist is too far left for you.
For the cohesion of UK society, and the safety and well being of all it’s citizens, it’s vital that fearmongering is confronted.

- Surely you want what’s best for the people in the country rather than the country
- Regarding the country - which one? The Uk or England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland? What’s best for one is not always best for all or another.
