Have they? Citation please?
Should have known, please feel free to use Google about access Chinese spies have had over the years with access to politicians and pms etcā¦and how either of MI5/6 knew about it etc
Your original claim was with respect to @RedWhippetās statement about the ādiplomatic serviceā. I Googled that, and nothing presented itself.
Now, your current claims is about access to politicians/PMs, which is a rather different claim. Having done another quick Google, thereās presumably this:
Which quotes the Times as saying that the spy had access to Cameron and May, but itās not known whether this is during their respective premierships or not. I think youād agree that the implications are rather different between MPs and members of cabinet.
The same article quotes the Telegraph as to how a Foreign Office interpreter (which goes the closest to the original statement about the diplomatic service) ran a website that pushed Chinese Communist Party propaganda. Iām not sure how thatās a huge conflict of interest if their primary employment with the Foreign Office was to interpret for meetings with Chinese government officials. Itās not ideal, but itās also not that troubling. Perhaps the implied access there again is troubling, but it depends on how involved they were.
Apart from that, I only recall the Gardiner issue, but itās not clear whether the donations involved actually influenced his advocacy, or whether he was chosen for those donations because of his advocacy for China.
Regardless, again, it has no direct impact on the relations of the government of the United Kingdom with other foreign governments, nor does it involve the disclosure of any secrets.
In news that will surprise absolutely nobodyā¦
Maybe @Klopptimist still believes Starmer is a communist. Nobody else does.
Communist? Heās a labour politician, What else could he be?
You spelt cunt wrong
Donāt be so rude about @Klopptimist
A zionist shill, and a cunt
Ā£50k, more than would have been spent on his benefits to begin with. Really just shows the priorities of the previous government.
Because just banging them up for life is against their human rights? The fuck???
Remind me, Elon: what have you got to do with UK politics?
Oh yeah: fuck all.
Also interfering with German politics. Throwing his full weight behind the neo-Nazis.
The comments sections in various outlets reporting this story are āenlighteningā
Yeah Elon, itās totally Starmerās fault that Tommy Robinson collapsed a criminal trial by refusing to shut the fuck up about the court proceedings while they were live.
What a fucking prick Musk is.
But, but, the Tories
Why does Wes Streeting feel he has to indulge Elon Musk?
While visiting a care home in Carlisle on Friday, Wes Streeting said Labour was getting āon with the jobā of implementing the recommendations of the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse led by Professor Alexis Jay āin fullā.
He told reporters: "Some of the criticisms Elon Musk has made I think are misjudged and certainly misinformed.
"But weāre willing to work with Elon Musk who I think has got a big role to play with his social media platform to help us and other countries tackle these serious issues.
āIf he wants to work with us and roll his sleeves up, weād welcome that.ā
Musk, a key adviser to US President-elect Donald Trump, has accused Sir Keir of failing to properly prosecute rape gangs while director of public prosecutions (DPP), and has repeatedly retweeted Reform UK and Conservative MPs calling for a national inquiry.
He also suggested safeguarding minister Jess Phillips ādeserves to be in prisonā after she rejected a request for the Home Office to order a public inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Oldham. She said the council should commission a local inquiry instead, as happened in Rotherham and Telford.
There isnāt any defending it at all.
Genuinely feels as though these bunch have no idea what politics is like, or how to stand up to bullies.
Bunch of cowards.
To be fair, I donāt think there is a playbook for how to deal with Musk outside the Bond films.
I know Labour are struggling with political savvy at the minute (honestly, just tell him to fuck off), but I genuinely think weāre in uncharted waters at the minute regarding the art of politics. I think we are a looking at the collapse of capitalism, rise of fascism, and acceleration of the climate crisis at the same time. You canāt just āpoliticsā your way out of that.
Because heās another Tory Lite wanker.
