No its not. By elections tend to attract fewer votes than a Gemeral election dont they?
Throw in a race with no serious opposition and people have less incentive to turn out.

I actually think Binface might serve an important political function - I am reminded of a race in Montreal in 1980, where the satirical Rhinoceros Party finished 2nd in votes behind the incumbent Liberal Party but had taken a chunk out of their lead.

I had a look at the David Davis one. His vote went from 23,000 to 17,000. The turnout halved.

Oh, it absolutely is.
He is pitching this as a referendum on him and his finances. His intention was to use this an a means of negating the findings of the enquiry (which are obviously going to devastating for him) and show that he has a mandate from a greater power than Parliament.
If he can’t show an uptick in his support when the only opposition is a lad with a fucking bin on his head, then his authority and claims that ‘The People’ back him are fatally damaged.
I don’t think Binface would spy on council workers and the comings and goings from food banks.
Although it could be the ultimate disguise to do exactly that. Unless one of the council workers tried to empty you of course.

The point is that they can’t just change the law. There is a process that needs to be followed. A Prime Minister can’t just click their fingers. That would be called a dictatorship.

I knew FIFAs decision to overturn Balogun’s Red Card would have a knock on ripple effect. Expecting him to be deported in a couple of days time after a decision from an independent panel, following a phone call from Starmer.
