UK Politics Thread (Part 5)

Of course you have to give medical treatment. What do you suggest? Let people die?

Muddying the waters again. Of course I don’t think people should be left to die. It was part of a wider point regarding tax-payers money as you well know.

Don’t worry guys.

Nigel beat a bin last night…we’re all good.

He couldn’t stand the embarrassment of showing up to the count and being photographed next to said bin so he lied about a police warning not to show up, but he still won.

I have a feeling that from here on in it’s gonna be smooth sailing…

Poor Nige,

now he’s going to have to do some work…

Does this now mean he can gather in the commons with all the other lying corrupt cunts?

doubt it…

looks like i wrong about nige doing some work…

The ‘they are all lying cunts’ cliche really falls apart in the presence of someone like Farage.

Yes, of course politicians lie. However they don’t all tell lies as egregious as making claims about police warnings.

I’ve just got out of bed so am late to the party, but surely if Farage is lying then the police will refute his claim?

Essex Police have indeed refuted his claim.

Who to believe eh?

You are getting frustrated here because I’m showing the logical consequences of your performative outrage.

So are you now saying people should get medical treatment? Because here (in the midst of a list of stuff they don’t get but you are still angry about) you are saying you wouldn’t allow them medical treatment.

So are you letting them see a doctor or not?

I really don’t think this is a conundrum.

Well, they do get free medical care and they do get money so it isn’t a list of things they don’t get is it?
As for medical care they can pay it back if they get right to remain. The ones that don’t is money down the pan but there’s no ideal solution to the problem. Care could be given on the assumption it will be paid for in the future.

Are you some sort of psychiatrist btw? You have a remarkable need to judge people’s state of mind without actually knowing them.
You seem to think I’m permanently angry. You accuse me of performative outrage, which is surely a contradiction on your part if indeed I am always angry? You tell me I’m getting frustrated?
I think you should stick to moderating the site because you’re not very good at the other stuff.

So, let me see if I follow this.

  • No medical care for people who arrive irregularly/without document

  • But obviously we won’t let them die.

  • So maybe we treat them, but with some kind of promise to pay back the cost of healthcare if they get right to remain.

  • But (just to go back to yesterday’s declaration) you’ve said absolutely “zero chance” of anyone arriving irregularly/without documentation getting right to remain.

Now, I’m not a genius or anything, but I think I might have spotted a flaw in your plan.

And hes not even good at that.

If only he defended children with disabilities in the same manner he does asylum seekers, instead of posting laughing memes/gifs in response to ahem ‘badly worded jokes’ made about them

What is this about?

I have a child with a disability, by the way.

Then you should know better…

Not really. Anyone who needs urgent, life-saving care should get it. Those that can remain pay back when they are able. Those that are refused obviously wont ever pay anything back but like I said, there’s no ideal solution.
I don’t see a flaw in that.

I don’t even know what you are talking about.
