Men with enormous beards that have never known the touch of a trimmer. Skinny fascists wearing expensive suits, despite the oppressive heat. Glowering loners staring at the two women under 40 like cats watching birds out a window.’

The big concern beyond the obvious cheating is how bad the press coverage will be resulting in them providing the scheme some cover. I am convinced that one of the goals of continually raising fraudulent elections is to make Dems position themselves as “the elections are safe” party so when they turn around and argue against actual election malfeasance when MAGA ops steal the next one, the press will accuse them of “hypocrisy” and pretend to not understand the difference in the situation.
We saw that Abrams was subjected to this on a much smaller scale and the press have shown over and again that they learn absolutely zero lessons when it comes to trump.

Reminds of one of my favourite Jan6 stories of a woman who was singularly responsible for getting about 100 rioters identified and arrested by swiping right on all MAGA looking guys and trying to get them to admit to participating in the riot over the app and then sending the conversation details to the FBI

Basically, this grants these people the option in their back pocket to delay the certification by demanding an investigation. The plan here is seemingly that in the event of Dems winning the state to delay the final certification of a couple of counties in a long enough investigation that the state cannot be called before the deadline. That would take GA’s EC votes off the table and likely prevent either getting to 270 and in that scenario the house would be tasked with selecting president, a vote in which Trump would win the elected from each state have to vote as a block to cast a single vote for the state, and the GOP have a significant advantage in states in the house.

For the first time, I have gone from disheartened and glum, to truly hopeful, after Biden finally made the correct decision. Really nice trend. Still cautious, but this bizarre momentum, it’s been truly energetic. I dare think Trump might lose now finally.

My nephew back home in Swansea has got into this kind of shit. He’s 14 and he’s saying stuff like “I’m not far-right - just right so far”. My sister asked me to talk to him on Skype, and we went back and forth on some things, then he brought up “post-birth abortions”, which are apparently prevalent in liberal America. My reaction was exactly as you describe.
I love him, and I want to hear him out because I know shutting him down isn’t helping anybody, but how the fuck am I supposed to have a reasonable conversation with the boy?
