My take on what Israel has done to the Palestinians, since the October Hamas attack, is that they would have done it regardless of who was in power in America.
My instinct is that neither the Dems or the Republicans are much of a restraint to Netanyahu’s bloodlust.
In normal times, the Democrats would be a bit more of a restraint, especially given the large amount of Christian Nationalists who vote Republican and would be inclined to give Israel carte Blanche to do whatever it wants to do.
But this is the run up to an election, and I feel the Democrat instinct to be a bit more critical of Israel has been curtailed. I hate to say it, but it would be a vote loser, and the right would jump all over it. Harris has inherited a thankless situation. She can’t speak out too forthrightly, as the capacity for understanding among the American electorate is very low, after many years of a shitshow media.
With that said, Harris has still been critical of Israel, but only as far as to say Israel has the right to defend itself, especially after the Hamas attack. Thats what the Republicans would say too and they would go further with it.
But the crucial difference with Harris is that she goes on to say… ‘but how Israel defends itself matters.’
Palestinians in America are rightly angry with Biden/Harris, but there is no way whatsoever that the Republicans would be better. Let’s not forget, it has been Republicans in Congress who have invited Netanyahu to come over, address Congress, and they have all kissed his arse. That’s the Republican instinct.
The Democrats are different in their view on Israel, and in particular Netanyahu, but regrettably they have not been forceful enough in showing it.
A big blow to Harris in the swing states, seeing as though the margins are so tight.
The only swing state where the numbers are definitely relevant is Michigan. Harris needs the Arab vote in Greater Detroit to deliver the 2020 margin of victory, that was a demographic that came out enthusiastically for Biden. It would take a massive flip (i.e. voting for Trump instead of Harris, not just declining to vote) in Georgia and Arizona. The numbers are just not there in Wisconsin.
Trump is 100% going to blame bone spurs to squirm out of another debate.
Curry smells way better than Big Macs anyway.
Disgusting bottomless weirdos.
Leaving aside the appalling racism and the questionable cuisine choice…she has stated that 9/11 was an ‘inside job’. A conspiracy theorist at the memorial ceremony is a new low for Trump.
Sen Hagerty (R) thinks there are conflicting points on dogs and cats consumption.
He also said he doesn’t know Loomer and free speech is allowed in America. So her presence at the memorial was justified.
I lost a good high school and college friend on 9/11. Hope these conspiracy theorists and their GOP abettors eventually realize their karma.
Feed them your korma. Korma-board them.
Yes, I must have missed that it’s Biden’s son-in-law who’s salivating at the prospect of profiting off land sales in Gaza after moving the population to the desert.
And also that Biden’s quite clearly Netanyahu’s best buddy:

Fixed for Inaccuracies.
In all this cat eating dog talk and various wars is an old trope likely to decide the election - that of « Republicans are the party to trust regarding the economy »???
Good to see we have some experts on the matter here… By the way, would that assessment have been judged, before they are consumed, or judged after…!! :0)
Being a stickler for detail, these little facts matter eh
Yes, I’m sure you know better than a Palestinian-American professor who researches this area. Actually blows my mind how blind people are to Joe’s complicity in this genocide
To the extent that there are basically just two forces acting to restrain Netanyahu in any way at all, they are the Israeli polity and US influence. I have very little confidence in the first, and in the absence of the second I am not sure what would restrain the Israeli right for applying the same measures to the West Bank, as Trump has urged Netanyahu to do.
You should speak to my friends in the West Bank. They’re already doing so. 600 civilians killed this year, including an American. America (and UK) literally arming them ffs, not ‘acting to restrain’
Palestinian-American professor who researches this area.
Unless I’ve missed something and gotten my wires crossed/the wrong person, her qualifications/subject area is most definitely not politics:

How would you do things that would result in an actual tangible difference, instead of pontificating about how he’s not doing everything that fits your ideals?
Don’t arm them? No munitions = no bombings. But, AIPAC clearly isn’t in breach of FARA, though if you freely give your opinion to Russian media you will have your house ransacked and personal possessions stolen… Go figure.
