This adds to statements of condemnation from the Republican Governor of the state and claims from several Republican city officials claiming they now cannot vote for Trump over what they have done to the town.

Assassination attempts are a fact of life, Don. Get over it.

Look how much good Vance is doing for the community by raising the made up issue

I wonder if heā€™d be able to retain his seat come the next elections, let alone get elected as VP.

Oh wait, people have short memories.

Well he will. Heā€™ll just be wearing orange. But be a pasty faced prick because he wonā€™t be allowed to have makeup in jail.

The rate of the news cycle at the moment, I doubt itā€™ll be remembered next week.

I was thinking the same. Is his senatorial seat up for grabs in upcoming general election, or would it come up in the mid-terms? Surely he couldnā€™t be VP and a senator at the same time?

He came in from the 22 elections so his seat isnā€™t up again until 28. If Trump wins Vance would have to give up the senate seat and have a replacement nominated to see out the rest of the term by the governor of the state (always by the governor?)

Vance can keep his seat until he takes office as a VP, which means he can just stay there if the Republicans do not win.

Not quite - weirdly, the appointment would hold only until 2026 (the other Ohio seat), then apparently a special election will be held in parallel to serve the remaining two years.

Everyone: Our elections cost too much what can we do to address that.
Every state: electoral royal rumble

Congratulations ! You found it !

I actually spent some time for you, 20 min or so, searching and using various keywords such as android, robot, electric etc., trying to find it (since I had seen it before in use and not only by you); but I was unable. I probably didnā€™t spend as much time as you have though !

Also, on topic, if I have to: The US election is strange and scary.

The Guardian has a good summary of Routhā€™s flip-flopping. I think he can be summed up in one word: dickhead.

This fascination with the party support of nutjobs is missing the point. Both these men appear to be mentally ill in some way and are just as likely to wake up one morning and decide to join the Democratic or Republican party, throw a fish at a neighbour or go and shoot a public figure. No sane Democrat would want to see Trump assassinated because he would become a martyr on massive scale.
The point is that guns are too readily available to people with mental health issues and the political discourse has become so toxic.

And who do we have to thank for these both?

Hint: It rhymes with GOP

No problems getting them in Canada if you a criminal, gun laws are quite strict.

Do you have connections with criminals?

All I know is that it in Germany itā€™s hard to get a gun and the figures for gun crime and mass shootings are far lower than in the US.

Thatā€™s true of most ā€˜developedā€™ countries.
