This adds to statements of condemnation from the Republican Governor of the state and claims from several Republican city officials claiming they now cannot vote for Trump over what they have done to the town.
I was thinking the same. Is his senatorial seat up for grabs in upcoming general election, or would it come up in the mid-terms? Surely he couldnāt be VP and a senator at the same time?
He came in from the 22 elections so his seat isnāt up again until 28. If Trump wins Vance would have to give up the senate seat and have a replacement nominated to see out the rest of the term by the governor of the state (always by the governor?)
Not quite - weirdly, the appointment would hold only until 2026 (the other Ohio seat), then apparently a special election will be held in parallel to serve the remaining two years.
I actually spent some time for you, 20 min or so, searching and using various keywords such as android, robot, electric etc., trying to find it (since I had seen it before in use and not only by you); but I was unable. I probably didnāt spend as much time as you have though !
Also, on topic, if I have to: The US election is strange and scary.
This fascination with the party support of nutjobs is missing the point. Both these men appear to be mentally ill in some way and are just as likely to wake up one morning and decide to join the Democratic or Republican party, throw a fish at a neighbour or go and shoot a public figure. No sane Democrat would want to see Trump assassinated because he would become a martyr on massive scale.
The point is that guns are too readily available to people with mental health issues and the political discourse has become so toxic.
