I was living in the US during the Pandemic. In Dallas. You’d be surprised how many college educated professional, immigrant non-white Americans (I’m talking doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs) voted for Trump the first time.
Their reason? Lower taxes.
That’s it. Screw everything and everyone else.

Yeah you are absolutely right… Thing is though, none of us live forever. The guy is so full of himself, he will want to remind everyone who he was even after he spins off this mortal coil… best way to keep him, his image and his ego alive, would best be served by his family…

Thinking about that,he is off his cruet now,a Pres. Vance could be a real chance,but seems the majority are happy with the possibilty. Ot sure whether Ukraine and the Palestinians are as far over the moon though.

This is what my US cousins said as well, nearly all the immigrant Business people voted for Trump. My cousins were shocked and dismayed at the time.

It’s not pessimism. Palestinians have been slaughtered daily for over a year. It can’t get any worse. I have a sliver of hope that Trump’s insanity/ego/isolationism might force Israel into a ceasefire. Not good for Ukraine though. Or the planet
