The very existance of our planet is in jeopardy with this climate changer denier president. Also, he has publicly insulted quite a few US high level military individuals.
I can see more chaos and demonstrations in US to challenge his term in office.
This will probably go down as the worst ran campaign in Democrat history. Taking over with a huge wave of support, genuine excitement and positivity, talking about a far more progressive platform and turning it into a comprehensive defeat to the worst president the United States has ever seen.
I donât care what any of you say. Chasing Republican ânever Trumpersâ was always a terrible strategy and one I was calling out as failing weeks ago. This campaign stopped talking to progressives, stopped talking to Democrats. As soon as she was officially named the candidate it felt as though they assumed the energy would stay with them no matter what so turned their attention to attracting âcenter groundâ voters. There are no center ground voters. This was a campaign about motivating the base and she lost all momentum from the base in a matter of months.
Its either a complete failure of messaging or a complete failure of agenda.
Personally I feel like I stopped hearing anything about ideas that were key to her before the convention. It seems obvious to me that her strategists told her to stop talking about them because the strategy was to target right wing voters who are put off by Trump.
Democrats - you HAVE to stop trying to pander to Republicans. They do not like you. Pursue a progressive agenda and stop being scared of it.
These types never get it. Trumpâs mishandling of the pandemic killed thousands of these dumbfucks and they still vote him in. Theyâre hopeless. As @Sweeting said⊠why even try to find middle ground with any of them? They sure as fuck donât try the other way.
I think @Sweeting has nailed it: after being nominated, she started with an initial wave of entousiasm which could have made her win, despite of the obvious racism being present among many conservatives.
But instead of focusing on what she could have brought to the country, and on her political program, she spent the vast majority of her massive election campaign funds into demonizing Trump. Whomever made that decision, it was a massive mistake.
In that sense, @Nobluff was right, by the way. He called it early in her campaign.
Yeah, if there is one lesson to learn for future elections, this is it. Donât talk about the negatives of your opponent, keep talking about the positives in your own political program, and the vision you have for the future. Thatâs what moves people.
