Some irony to the TV scheduling. They finally show us live on regular cable and it’s a dead rubber of a game. It’s being shown on TUDN, the renamed Univision channel (Mexican). 10am PCT
Anyone have nbc app on Samsung tv? Games aren’t showing up this morning as an option to watch. They have olympic channel and premier league live, but no games
Anybody know where premier league will be broadcast next season with nbcsn supposedly done? How’s next season going to work with tv?
tl;dr: it looks like there will still be games on NBCSN until the end of the calendar year, then they will migrate to USA and NBC proper – while all games will be on Peacock (for a subscription)
Yep, essentially all on Peacock with a gradual loss of loss of coverage from the legacy platforms. Good for guaranteed coverage, but shit for actual coverage. No recording or playback, and at least for me, the quality of the coverage of live sports is terrible. Almost like it drops frames.
If they can improve the app and incorporate some of the build up and wrap up coverage that isnt currently part of the peacock coverage then it could be fantastic.
I’ve only had problems with it freezing during a game. Agree 100% it needs improvement. I’m less concerned about other content.
I really cant wait for the games.to start again!
The issue isn’t that it freezes, but that’s its incredibly choppy, sometimes even fuzzy. It has the same effect as an early HDTV with an incredibly slow refresh rate. If I had to guess I’d say the throttle it to accommodate some technical limitation.
Agree with Peacock observation. I thought it was just me but the focus is not good. Hopefully if enough of us complain to them it will change!
Just to add, when Peacock started, the app only worked on certain internet browsers. And I remember I couldn’t get the app on my new Samsung tv.
Well the peacock app is now available for the Samsung tv.
Hoping it runs smoothly.
Can’t wait for the season now.
Another issue I’ve had with it on my tv is that each game is treated as an isolated event with no build up shown. It wouldn’t be as big a deal, but you cannot access such events before they start. If you try the show tries to load then fails and you go back to the home page. I routinely missed the first 3-4 mins of each lions test because of this.
Peacock for all its faults, is still a guaranteed stream of every league game and obtained for $5 a month.
NBC is planning on increasingly moving all content off the traditional network/cable stations onto peacock and so you may get lucky relying on those for a time, but ultimately, sooner or later, you’re going to have to turn to peacock or fuck around with pirated streams.
This seems the way it’s going. And honestly, I’d rather pay $5 a month to watch than have to keep closing pop up ads about gambling or porn and worrying about viruses
My complaint is more about what looks like an issue of refresh rate rather than an issue of buffering. You’ll get an uninterrupted stream, but it is often a low quality one that doesn’t run smoothly from one frame to the next. It doesn’t have much of an impact on most broadcasts, but it has a huge impact on sports.
Does anyone know if Wednesday’s game is on Spectrum cable. I see it says TUDN EXTRA, but I can’t seem to find it.
It looks like this season is going to be near enough 100% streaming. they may pick 1 game per round of games to show on regular, but they’re not marketing it if they are.
Looks like just Unimas and Gala plus the terrible CBS goal show on cable.
Fucking peacock. Every time we’re on this platform the fucking broadcast is blank and wont load until several minutes after kick off.
Hi Guys, will be in Orlando area in the next few weeks. Any places to watch our games in the area or on tv?
Yeah, usually it’s not difficult with the British and Brazilian crowd to cater to. I assume you will be down By Disney or I Drive?
More towards the coast. Don’t want to get too specific cos of the feds etc
