It’s actually a great illustration of the wild inflection in the market.
In 2017 we signed Mo for a fee of 36-42m depending on sources and achievement of clauses. It was widely viewed at the time as a LOT of money for someone who came with a lot of questions about how he would fit in given the strength of the existing front 3 and whether that was the right use of such a large amount of money.
9 years later we’re spending essentially the same amount of money on Munoz with the reception being its good that we’re getting him that cheap because it means we still have enough left to spend proper money on a proper front line player

Yeah I know, the second family name isn’t often used. But as he’ll shortly be a Liverpool player, I thought that we could display his full name in the thread title.

I tried to make a joke about Cologne-Liverpool changing his name to accommodate Zinny’s parochial ways but the keyboard short cut ChatGPT gave me to use the correct German umlauted version of Cologne just kept opening my bookmarks bar

I was thinking he has a little of both Torres and Jota in his look; guess it’s more Torres in the face and Jota in the hair and stature. Now, if only he combs the best of their playing characteristics!
