It would actually be the best possible outcome if Iran’s leader turned out to be gay. They could counter US aggression with rainbows and glitterballs to the tune of ‘I Will Survive’ and ‘It’s Raining Men’.

The divisions in the Administration are becoming obvious. About a week ago, Vance stopped saying ‘we’ and started saying ‘the President’. He has also admitted the war has caused ‘affordability problems’ in his speech in Michigan today, clearly trying to stay onside with the isolationist strain of MAGA.
Trump is meanwhile putting up these trial balloons of declaring victory and withdrawing, albeit with the condition of ‘finishing off the Iranian terror state’. At this point, if the US withdraws I think Iran begins dictating the terms of access to the Straits - a comprehensive humiliation for the US that would likely lead to some base closures in the area.
