I found him pleasantly relaxed. It’s early days and you don’t know how he will be under stress, but he came across really well.

Apparently he said Ekitike (which I think we all knew anyway), Leoni and Bradley are still a long way off being fit… seems a bit worrying on Bradley given those earlier rumours. Wasn’t the previous thinking that he’d be ready for preseason?
I also thought Leoni was closer than that as well, honestly.

I think there have been two narratives - one that the player would be ready for start of season (perhaps pushed by player or his camp) and one that he may be ready but the club were going to take a lot more time with him before bringing him back into the team in the hope they can reduce future injuries.

Would suggest a CB has to be a priority.

I mean as with anything there’s a range depending on severity, but I don’t think 7-8 months is that unusual.

Came here to post this, among other things… Leoni in particular - I had the feeling he would be ready for pre-season given that around ten months had passed from the day of his injury, if I remember correctly.
The squad looks a bit thin at the moment but I hope these lads recover properly, first and foremost, and that their long term fitness won’t be an issue.
