What is the local vernacular in Liverpool for a kebab?

You have to appreciate that I havenât lived in Liverpool for 40 years, so some of my terminology may be somewhat outdated. Or âAntwackyâ as they would have said at the time.

Expectations? Hard to say, for me. The peak for what can be done is winning the league. We expected a post-Klopp transition, never dropping too far, but a bedding in period for Slot. We only went and won the league in his first season. So thatâs possible.
Still, it wouldnât be right to expect that of Iraola, and I donât, but we are Liverpool and anything is possible.
More realistically, I expect to see a positive pattern of play emerge as we go. It will be a work in progress from the off, given new signings, new ideas, and a short amount of hands on coaching time. But I expect an identity to start to shine through - one that we can all be happy with, as it will be front foot, and exciting.
Beyond that, we really should be finishing in the CL spots, even if it has teething problems. A cup would be nice, as would a good run in the CL.
By the end of the season I want to have real hope in my heart for a strong title challenge the following season, after seeing Iraola get to grips with it and make progress this season.
Anything better than that for this season will be welcome, but not expected.

Quite possibly. My fathers family were Scottish (although rather middle class) but he used to come out with all sorts of military slang (much of which, I later discovered, was quite rude) as well as bits of Scouse that amused him.

Having read other comments in his interview he especially points out Hugo for a period but not Bradley and Leoni. Maybe itâs just referring them as serious injuries not long term outs.

Yes, i would guess that is quite common. My mumâs family had Scottish and Irish ancestry (and also from cornwall or Devon too which i find more surprising).

Had posted here a while back. Heâs nowhere near ready. Heard from someone close to family that he was still doing rehab in the pool. Not running yet. That was about a month ago

Yeah, there was discussion of some guy online claiming there were complications that risk hm never playing again, and the source of those complications would open a huge hornetâs nest (insinuating medical mismanagement, or maybe significant aggravation of the initial injury by Martinelli). There was considerable push back on those claims, but I think some people took that to mean that he was closer to return than he was.

I doubt it. I donât think heâs the kind of guy who uses his first press conference to have a go at another manager.

I think he really means exactly what he says; I saw a report, and his family lived the same way in Bournemouth. He used to cycle to training there every day, too. Whether that will actually be feasible in Liverpool remains to be seen.

I would doubt it considering Bournemouth is quite condensed.
The ground and training areas are quietly located to be honest.
