Welcome to Liverpool, Andoni Iraola!

I still believe in Flo, he needs abit more time. He is young, he also needs good players around him too and the right coaching. Andoni has been coaching LFC only a few months.

Because you can’t bring in a player at that price, have every pundit fawn at his world class/generational talent and abilities…and then get what you get from him on the pitch.

I’m sorry but the price has a huge impact here. At that price you expect immediate impact. And I don’t think that’s unfair to expect that.

I’m personally willing to give him time but I am sure many aren’t. Koumas and Munoz had a more material impact in the game yesterday thank him, just as an example.

But this is about Iraola not Wirtz and questioning whether he has ā€œLiverpool dnaā€ what even is that? Match thread fine, his own thread fine even the German national side thread but he crops up everywhere, surprised he hasn’t been blamed for the poor performance of The dems in Maine.

Forget the price.
It’s perfectly ok to criticize a player after a game in which he underperformed, but the systematic bashing is fucking tiresome indeed.

Fundamental mistake.

You cannot forget the price.

That sort of price point matters for Liverpool. Far from being Man City, even now we aren’t Man U or Chelsea that we can just disregard that much sunk capital cost.

Then, maybe it’s a marketing/communication thing from the club and the journos? Don’t big him up to be the missing piece that unlocks defences.

Back to topic: I feel sorry for Andoni after what happened yesterday. He deserves a lot of praise for how he took on the squad and how he brings his ideas to the players. They are buying into it as Nikola said, that’s great. We deserved something from yesterday despite of being severely depleted, and to be fucked over by that corrupt twat Kavanagh is really hard to take.

Hopefully he and the squad will quickly get up after this k.o., and continue their collective progress, because it’s a joy to see this squad grow into a competitive unit.

Yup I’ve seen enough to feel he will do well here in the long term. He’s having to work through it and as you said he easily matched them yesterday and I do feel we may even have won it, He certainly lost a player who has been in top form and the amount of set pieces we had Dom would have probably done something with them.

Again: forget the price. For every player who costs a lot and doesn’t immediately set the world alight, you get a player who didn’t cost that much and who becomes a success. The price doesn’t matter, it’s the quality of the players. Wirtz is quality through and through and will eventually become a success. I trust Iraola to find the best use for him, as well as for Isak and Barcola.

Anyway, I like how the players responded to Iraola’s tactics.

I didn’t expect much after the sending off. It was such injustice that you stop giving the whole thing any importance.

Because the PL refs have shown that you can get away with it with impunity and the club certainly won’t say anything.
