Happy 19th birthday.

Does anyone have any info regarding the type/nature of his injury. I think the medical is pretty extensive to rule out any serious issues.

Klopp said it was an issue nobody knew he had, that they discovered it on the medical. Not serious, but needed some time, is what I believe he said.

Poor guy.

This is an absolute disaster. But it happens time and time again with highly talented youngsters. A pity. :see_no_evil:

With the Trent, Bradley, and Gomez discussions, I thought I’d see how Ramsay’s doing on loan at Bolton.

He’s hardly played. I was hopeful he’d have a decent loan, and then he could come back and try to compete to be a back-up RB, but with the injuries and the loan spells, it just hasn’t worked out for him.

Maybe he’ll get a chance to show what he’s about during pre-season.

If I remember correctly, he was doing well in the early part of the season for Bolton, then got a long term injury which saw him lose his spot

His appearance stats since joining us are as follows:

Liverpool 22/23 - 2 games
Scotland 22/23 - 1 game
Preston North End 23/24 - 2 games
Bolton 23/24 - 4 games

Two years wiped out due to injuries, and maybe development, but it’s such a shame for the lad.

I thought he played more prior to hi injury, but I agree his career has been severly halted by injuries

Unfortunately, due to his own circumstance and the competition at Liverpool in his position, he’s a mile away from being part of the first team squad for next season.

We’ll just have another look at him during the summer, see what’s best for his body and pick another loan. Can’t see anything else happening.

Keep him at Anfield and pick him for the club games.

It’s not just injuries, he’s mentioned in the past about not being in a place mentally to play football.

Amazing that he played last night. One of the only good things about the game is the lad got some minutes and did ok. Feel for him big time, but hopefully he can push on and have a good career!!

He came in with a bit of fanfare. I think he’d been voted the best player in Scotland before he arrived, and looked great in the fleeting glimpses we got of him initially. Then he got really knocked by injuries. Hope he can stay fit now and put pressure on Bradley and Frimpong.

On another note, I thought in the context of the game last night, the awful challenge on him late on, was particularly shithouse. Crystal Palace had won, the game was petering out, we’re down to ten U21s, and the palace player does that to a lad who has lost three years of his career to injury in his first game back. What a prick.

Is the lad even registered to feature in the PL/CL?

Yeah you’re not wrong. What a cunt!! Hope somebody does a Daniel Agger revenge job on him at some point in the future.

Exactly. In fact, I was cursing at the offender himself and his ancestors  (I never used to do that!)
(Who was it? Was Yeremy Pino the offender?)

That’s actually a really good question and thankfully he did make it for the league squad.

i saw that challenge, it looked nasty. hope Ramsays ok.

your right though the palace player was a prick for doing that.

in a strange way though i comfort from it,

as its almost like a revenge challenge, where if i cant beat you, i will kick you!

He got a goal, an assist and they beat us…

But yeah, it was a totally stupid challenge. Gomez had a few words with him.
