What's happening? (Part 2)

Or my flip flop is rubbing uncomfortably up the crack of my arse

In NZ a thong/flip-flop is called a jandal.

I used to knock around with a Kiwi named Steve when I was living in Seoul and he used to tell us this story about his trip to Bali with a Canadian mate of his.

Kiwi Steve almost lost control of his scooter/moped thingy when his jandal slipped off and got caught somewhere.

You need to do the thick North American accent.

Canadian: ā€œBro, what happened?ā€

Kiwi Steve: ā€œBloody hell. Nearly lost it when me jandal got stuck.ā€

Canadian: ā€œYour what??!?!?! No way!!!ā€

Kiwi Steve: ā€œMe jandal. My thong. It slipped off and got stuck.ā€

Canadian: ā€œDude…I thought you said your genitals got stuck.ā€

Cultural learnings.

Appreciate the warning! Kiwis are the gateway drug that soften you up and, before you realise it, you end up living in blighty. Thanks that’s a teachable moment for my kids

I really don’t understand Vinted. How come people are selling ā€œbrand new with tagsā€ gear for ridiculously low prices..if you buy stuff that doesn’t fit you can take it back or is a lot of it shoplifted.

I was recently looking at a Regatta parka type coat. This retails for £80. £5 on Vinted.:thinking:

If someone has nicked it then it is a bit risky for just a fiver return.

I’ve bought a couple of cycling jerseys on there. I’m not complaining.

Take it that makes them recycled?

I got banned for a few days on vinted as they thought i was selling fake adidas trainers.

Listed the same trainers on the wifes vinted acoount and there wasnt a problem,

Sold them within a day!

What I didn’t know is that there’s a massive market in second hand running shoes. A guy I work with is well into it. Anything that doesn’t fit right, or he doesn’t like, gets jet washed and sold on Vinted.

Then he’s also running all his email addresses using a free unconditional return that Adidas and Brooks offer.

I have a dilemma.
There is a strict bag policy at Anfield for the pre-season game on saturday.
I can take only A5 size bag.
I can’t fit all my stuff in A5 bag. I can fit it in A4 size. I used to take a small rucksack.

Are the security guys very strict on bags?

Why a bag?

Try to find a very fat one .
Honestly though bag restrictions can be a pain. I need to carry extra stuff for my diabetes for example which means a larger bag than most I also like one that I can carry like a ruck sac.
Improvise with baggy clothes and massive pockets.

Dane,
I need my tissues, paracetamol, axe brand Chinese oil, hand moisturiser, a pen, reading glasses, scrap paper, snacks, bottle of water, somewhere to put my foldable hat as well as phone and house keys.

If it rains, my foldable mac or I bring an umbrella.

I might have to do that, wear clothes with pockets, like cargo trousers and cardigan with pockets. I might wear that money belt that is hidden beneath the teashirt and trousers

I take less than that on holiday

You need a poachers coat @Maria :0)
If I was local at the weekend I would meet up and guide you in… but as you might know, spend majority of my time living on the Black Isle Peninsular in the Scottish Highlands…
Maybe think about taking an A5 carrier bag (which can be quite deep)… put all your your goodies in, and put another bag folded up inside it… Once inside, transfer them to the bigger bag…
PS. You might have to leave your ā€˜JURGEN IS A GOD’ full-size banner for another day Maria :0)

Wear the foldable hat and mac through security but include a foldable bigger bag. Once through security decant into bigger bag and take off hat and mac. :+1:
