We saw it quite well in Germany. My son had bought some viewing glasses.
There is also a lunar eclipse on 28th August early in the morning. They are actually easier viewing experiences: the full moon turns blood red. They are also more prone to the “except for viewers in Scotland” syndrome.
I once did a star viewing at the “Dark Sky Park” in Galloway, which is essentially a cloud covered midgie swamp.

The country became known internationally as Nauru only because its local name was difficult for foreigners to pronounce and was a matter of convenience rather than choice, according to an earlier government statement.
Naoero is actually quite easy for Japanese speakers to pronounce correctly, or at least I think my pronunciation is correct.
