where’s this Eclipse? ![]()
Tomorrow 7ish…I think…
your joking???
I’ve been standing in back garden the last 30 odd mins with stupid glasses on waiting for it…
Oops…tonight was the practice run…
The Moon checks its Apple watch heart monitor. Personal best! Just the carb loading and a decent hydration strategy.
I bet it will be cloudy tomorrow…
Fuck, I’m busy tomorrow.
Ah well, I’ll catch the next one
Congratulations Ifti on your daughter’s graduation. I hope you all celebrated her great success. May she have many more successes.
Thanks Maria, it means a lot.
Stood outside for a full 30 minutes.
Went slightly dull but never once lost sight of the sun
to much cloud to see anything in Glasgow…
it just went a bit duller than it usually is here…
I could see the sun the whole time.
Can’t even get an eclipse right in Scotland
Mester wilkored08..stood outside with his technical equipment …consisting of…a sheet of A4 paper and a serving spoon…(this page won’t accept the photo its too big.)…anyway…it went a bit dark…birds stopped cheeping…but that was it…
We saw it quite well in Germany. My son had bought some viewing glasses.
There is also a lunar eclipse on 28th August early in the morning. They are actually easier viewing experiences: the full moon turns blood red. They are also more prone to the “except for viewers in Scotland” syndrome.
I once did a star viewing at the “Dark Sky Park” in Galloway, which is essentially a cloud covered midgie swamp.
