There’s a little budget cut for GPs if they don’t do 10 vaccinations per quarter afaik, maybe you were useful in that moment.

That is normally a reflection of really poor uptake meaning they have way more supply than they think the need so any arm they can find to put it in is better public health than leaving it to expire.

My wife was head of department and famously one of her teachers was off for a week and her self certification explained her absence as suffering from “trapped wind”.

Well I’m not sure University is optional for some. It’s an essential step for some to ‘win’ a stepping stone if the system permits. Where would my son be now if he hadn’t yet he disliked the educational system a lot (probably not as bad as I did).
Anyway Maternelle (theoretically optional however I haven’t met anyone whose kids don’t go except one or two whose kids were severely disabled and never went to ‘school’ anyway) 3-5. Primaire 6-10. Collège 11-15. Lycée 16-18. Then University looking for a professional qualification like Doctor, which could be longer, or other minimum 5 years.
That excludes ‘redoublements’ however if you redoubled 2 or 3 times it’s highly unlikely you’d go on to University.
University in France is open to all French kids in theory and 1st year can have thousands of students. It’s after entry that the University starts the tri with examinations each year.
You people are lucky I am being schooled all the time.

When i was of school age, It didn’t matter if i wanted to go or not, i was banned.
Oh wow. Just realised i was banned from school for telling the deputy head to f*ck off, I was banned from TIA for telling a member to do the same thing.
I have grown now and have a better vocabulary… when my brain can find the words.

Today, one of the teachers from the Maths dept, asked me, do Science have a test for alcohol.
He suspected that one of the students had alcohol in her water bottle. He could smell it on her blazer. Unfortunately we didn’t. I think legally, we are not allowed force the student to give her water bottle.
This was a first for us in Science. We have unusual requests in the past, not this issue.
