What's happening?

Been looking at car hire in the States. I am well under their upper age limit :slightly_smiling_face:

Iā€™m just back from the eye doctor. My annual chevk-up went OK. No deterioration or sign if glaucoma.

Unfortunately, I have been left with pupils dilated like a psychopath.

All the better to see your kittenā€™s arse with?

Actually, her eyes go like that just before she does something psychotic.

I had the laser eye surgery years ago that was awesome but I had a crazy eye thing going on for a good few hours afterwards.

That procedure was an interesting experience for the senses, including smell!

Iā€™d be more worried about the monobrow.

My mom died this morning.
Just sharing here as I need to share.
I wonā€™t be telling telling my kids until they have finished work.
She was a wonderful person loved by everyone I knew. She would entertain punks, skinheads, crustys and hippies with tea and biscuits then later the same day check up on one of her posh friends. Stopped to talk to any of them in the streets and shops in the town.
Bless her soul.

@PeachesEnRegalia , do follically challenged persons still have to shave once in 3 days to maintain their Arne hairstyle ?

Very sorry to hear that, mate.

My condolences to you and your family.

My Momā€™s not having the best time of late.

Her mental faculties have suddenly degraded and all the scans / tests come out non conclusive.

Sheā€™s behaving like a child having conversations with imaginary people. Doesnā€™t sleep at all even with the aid of medication. Itā€™s hallucinations and delusions at this point of time

The doctors are quite frankly puzzled. Sheā€™s had non hodgkins lymphoma before and she underwent the treatment for it. Weā€™ve done the tests for cancer (including pet-ct and a biopsy and she did come out negative for that). The only thing they could detect is a virus (keep forgetting the name) and the inference is that because of her spleen removal , her immunity system is fucked and the virus has infected her brain cells. Sheā€™s scheduled for immunotherapy as a last gasp which will hopefully give some results.

At some point of time , itā€™s more difficult for carers than it is for the actual person. Iā€™m just worried on the toll this is taking on my dad. At 70+ years , he doesnā€™t deserve this.

@Sithbare stay strong.
Help your Dad as much as you can.
I wasnā€™t there for my parents however my sister was, she has been fantastic.
I tried to help by just talking to my Dad on the telephone. Just being understanding, listening a lot and talking rubbish as only I can do.
All my best wishes to you and your loved ones.

Thatā€™s for sure and I have a daughter who doesnā€™t let me forget her cat so I can imagine that if I donā€™t mention her Gran from time to time Iā€™ll get myself into trouble.
