Pleased for you; merely thinking of others who may not be so proactive. Ideally she gets further training so she is better at distinguishing benign but you must understand that GPs are already very put upon and are expected to almost be counsellors and specialists in addition to GPs. If upsetting some people’s feelings leads to saving lives then, on balance, it can be fairly defensible.
That person sounds like me “She’ll be right”
I’ve taken the afternoon off to aerate and scarify my lawn whilst the boys are in school. Peaceful bliss in the spring sunshine.
What has happened to me?
I used to rock n’ roll all night and part of every day.
Tornado - holy cow. Moved here to the Midwest 16 years ago. Obviously there’s a tornado season and you know about them, and they hit, but the one on Wednesday night was the closest I’ve personally been.
Bad line of storms coming across, we were under a warning, then the sirens go off. Checked the radar and it looked ugly so we went down to the basement. They do have a good warning system on multiple levels, and even the TV channels are interrupted with live weather reporting as needed.
It was ‘only’ an EF1 but it passed by my house a mile south and went across the town. Fortunately the damage was only some trees down, and damage to buildings - especially some warehouses, which aren’t especially built the most sturdily. No casualties or even injuries that I heard about, although the next day there were some no-go areas with power lines down while they got it all fixed.
An EF2 also went by, but that was a few more miles away.
Tis the season.
Morrisons lottery counter, Covid tests £2.
Unbelievable how private healthcare companies got away with charging £200 when i needed them to travel to work overseas
Aren’t they quite different?
From what I remember those £200 tests were the PCR tests, whereas the random ones you can get at the supermarkets are lateral flow tests. The latter were never accepted for travel anywhere.
I’m in Northern England and everyone’s talking about how warm it is.
It’s 16°.
Now on a bus in Stockport and Oh Sit Down is playing. How cool is that?
I am looking at hotels for 25th to 27th May in Liverpool. The prices are extortionate!
I really want to go. I couldn’t go for many years, with mum’s health issues. If i book a hotel abit further and get the train into Liverpool, would that work?
I’m no expert, but I’d imagine that hotel prices are going to be quite high too because others would have had similar ideas…
No expert at all. But are there open camping sites where you can hitch a tent ?
Don’t take it the wrong way , but if you can rent a reasonably good tent and the open camping sites do have good amenities. It’s not 40 degree unbearable heat.and yes , there will be some discomfort
No expert either. But could you get a cheap flight from London to Vancouver and exit via Parachute near the Liverpool city centre? You know, make it a memorable experience..
If i don’t do it now, i may never live to see another the Trophy parade
Do understand. Hence the solution.
People are gonna get their rental rates up for an occasion like this. Liverpool never had a bus parade in 19/20
Thanks, but no tent for me. I can’t do them unless i am in the Sahara desert at night
Perhaps the parachute option is more to your liking?
I don’t want to die just yet thank you dalglish.
Yeah, I’d recommend you’d pull the cord, la
Any suggestions outside the city so i can bus it or train it in.
