Is that a 2005 CL scarf? Looks like your dog is one of those vintage only poshos ![]()
He is a pure breed, so what do you expect ? ![]()
Your hounds, both the deceased and the current one, are very, very pretty.
That breed is a treat for the eyes with those empathic and thoughtful eyes.
It was either that one, or the one I wore at the 1986 FA Cup Final. I thought that one was redder.
Were they able to give you a specific diagnosis ?
Hard to explain effectively I have a irregular heartbeat or well something that can cause one but itās so minor that an ablation would actually be more risky than the reward and while I continue to not have them at any level of frequency itās rather best just to monitor
I was diagnosed with one over a year ago and have absolutely no idea what kind. My last appointment with the cardio didnāt detect it at all. Iām back to see him in December so hopefully it has disappeared. I think they call it a paroxysmal arrhythmia (it comes and goes ) but it can develop into a permanent thing. I was treated initially with a very strong drug called amiodarone which is not prescribed long term because of the very nasty side-effects it can cause. Anyhow , it seems to have done the trick. (Fingers crossed.)
Yeah I had something with a similar name, Iāll dig it out later and share.
Iāve just popped into the Liverpool club shop on Williamson Square and bought one of those retro red and white stripped scarves that Iāve seen this season. Ā£16. Iām such a sucker.
I actually wanted to see if they had a small dog coat in club colours. They did have a baby top. I asked the assistant whether it would fit a small spindly puppy. She looked at me like my mind was broken.
It does say on their official webpage that they do sell them⦠Unfortunately, it also states they are out of stock :0(
Oh, Iām definitely going to have to get that. Although that dog appears to be 3 times the width of ours.
Just arrived in Tokyo for the first time.
Was here 5 minutes and headed to Golden Gai in Shinjuku for 1 beer in those tiny alley bars.
But that turned into a few given the atmosphere. 8 people crammed in - 4 young Japanese having the best time, 2 Germans from Hamburg and of course us 2 Aussies me and wifey. The Germans loved it when I said do you support St Pauliā¦
Anyway so far itās safe, alive and very interesting.
More to follow
Donāt tell them you know @GermanRed ![]()

Youāve chosen the best time of year to visit Japan. Temps in the upper 20s and humidity way down compared to the summer. I hope you enjoy your stay.
We are at the conclusion of our Japan trip and wow what a lovely place with incredible people.
Hiroshima was my favourite. The Dome, Peace Park and Museum were very moving. A group of young school kids standing in silence so respectful.
Of the Big 3 cities the vote goes to Kyoto. Felt more traditional.
As much as I love Sashimi etc I could do with a meat pie.
And I have not been able to watch the last 3 games. Iāve cursed us. Donāt worry Iām back for the United game.
Very jealous. A trip to Japan with my wife is definitely on our must do list. Did you plan it all yourself or go for a pre-made tour?
We planned it all ourselves. Well wifey did the heavy lifting.
The itinerary was Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto (day trips to Hiroshima and Osaka) and now Gora which is in the Hakone region about 100kms from Tokyo. Look up Hakone itās awesome.
Leaving tomorrow but just got Typhoon warning from ANA ffs.
Happy to give any tips about the experience.
Tip number 1: Either go in the off season or have a subscription so you donāt miss Liverpool games (League Cup excepted). ![]()
What did you think of Kanazawa? Itās not far from here. In fact, Iāll be working there tomorrow.
Kenrokuen always impresses me no matter what time of year I go there. For those who donāt know, itās a large and historic traditional garden in Kanazawa, although āgardenā seems a bit inappropriate. More like royal park.
Thanks Roo, and there I was, worrying about my socks!
