I wonder what Americans would make of mince pies?

Given their taste in chocolate, I’m suspicious.

Last year everyone else turned their nose up at them except for my Candian FiL who always goes out of his way to show how being Candian means we have much more in common than either of us do with the American women in our lives

Would love to spend Christmas with all the family, alwayes thought it was the highlights spending time with family.

Also a little harder this year as my daughter had our 1st grandchild, 4 weeks ago, Arthur Harry Mason, they live in London and money is tight for us at the moment so can’t travel from NZ to see them :sad_but_relieved_face:

Yes, the flaky bit is covered in a chocolate coating, so the flakes don’t crumble on the floor.

That flake advert was really saucy.

Mind you I am a milktray kind a person where that good looking mystetioys Bond esque guy comes in cognito and leaves the chocolate box secret. :joy:

What has Roses done to coffee creams?

I swear they were radioactive in the past but suddenly they aren’t bad at all.

Proper conspiracy.

Maria you are well within your rights to chill out, and good for you for taking a stand. It sounds like other family members are stepping up, which will surely be a good thing as they have to share the load.

There’s 5 of them in one house, 3 and 2 cats in the other house. I am one person for the last 2 years cooking. I can’t do it anymore, i have no energy. I am bringing dessert though. :slightly_smiling_face:

To be honest, i would rather give to the food banks than stuff ourselves to indigestion. They deserve it more.

Due to down times, i have downgraded from Radio Times to TV Choice tv schedule magazine! :joy:

Growing up my aunt and uncle (different sides of the family) both worked at Cadbury’s in Moreton. Small world! As a kid I loved going round to their houses because they would always have plenty of Cadbury’s on the go.

Oh no! :see_no_evil_monkey: Maybe, you can visit on the first birthday and mentor the little one then, when the Dad is not looking.:crossed_fingers:

I just always think of christmas as a time for being family time just being with loved ones and a time to chill.

His father sent me a photo of little Arty (Arthur) in a West Ham kit, but thanks to chatgpt I sent one back in a Liverpool kit and got the AI to put a big smile on his face, touche
