What's happening?

I believe it’s completely closed down now. My brother lives in flats near the shore from there, and he says that most of it is now a housing estate.

I haven’t been there in many years, I’m sure it would all be different to what I remember as a kid.

It still tells u the same programmes…same times…and same days…ours cost about £1:80…not £5 and some more…

Exactly. I should have switched years ago. £1.80 is a bargain.
I didn’t see any great films to watch.

Yeah, @Noo_Noo is telling it how it is

you just gotta set some expectations, Daddy tax IS a thing…

my kids just expect me to unashamedly raid thier chocolate supplies, law of the jungle…

one year they even had the audacity to stick a little note on the easter egg bowl pleading/ordering me off the bounty…

im a giving, selfless kinda dad, but sometimes the dominant male needs to release his inner primate and dominate the pack…

dont tippy toe around thier chocolates, eat them infront of them, 6 years old is old enough for that life lesson…

Bounty’s are just evil and should be banished to the old coffee cream bin. Strawberry creams can folliw suit I think.

I have only been caught once. I cant help if people think my lad has a Haribo habit.

My hubby says Bountys are a bargain…eat it once…and an hour later…eat some more…

couldnt figure out what the hell you were talking about until i re read my post.

i meant bounty as in ‘the loot’, not the chocolate bar

for the record i dont mind bounty, but its certainly not my go to

I’m not much of a chocolate guy, but chocolate coconut is heavenly

Yeah it means you don’t have a load of chocolate flakes on the floor

How the hell do you eat chocolate, standing up?
Sit down and enjoy then the flaky stuff ends up in your lap, or wear a bib at all times.

What other loot is there, especially at this time of year when my lads confectionary inventory is filling rapidly. Too fast for him to keep track of I might add. Its important I noted this.

For the record, I need to correct my post above. It was M&S coffee creams that were an acceptable blend of coffe and milk chocolate. I suspect Roses version remains radioactive.

However, after last night I suspect they are loaded with caffeine. Be warned.

Without exception, I would very much like to wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas!
I hope you get a warm yuletide with family and perhaps friends and that you are able to recharge a couple of your batteries. If you celebrate alone, I hope that’s not too bad for you and that you get a really good time off from work !

Please try to enjoy the holiday and do take care of yourself, dear forumite.

All the very best from Magnus and his national romantic barn-“nisser” (there is no good translation for this, as this isn’t Santa Clause but the origin, though I suppose that perhaps the English word gnome is close to “nisse”).

I’d just like to echo the thoughts of @Maria @Hope.in.your.heart and @Magnus to wish each and every member on here best wishes for a happy and healthy Christmas.

Hopefully we can have an enjoyable time, and not wind each other up too much after (yet) another dodgy performance - remember, it’s not us running around the pitch like a bunch of plonkers…

It’s been an interesting few months since I joined (hope I haven’t put the mockers on the team), and I really appreciate the humour and spirit that is displayed here on a daily basis.

Aww, what a lovely sentiment @Basankayis :face_holding_back_tears:. We can live in hope can’t we.

My heart goes out to the elderly and other people who are living on their on away from family and friends.

Hug your loved ones, who knows how long we have on this earth.

I picked my son up from Bremen this morning and we have mostly been watching rubbish on telly.

I also seem to be getting a cold. Merry bloody Christmas!
