I dunno we are at least seeing some form from players like Wirtz and Kerkez.
I never doubted that, they are good players and just needed time to settle.
I think we both predicted a tricky settling in period with so many changes MH, but Iâm concerned about the lack of a discernible plan.
Caution! Thread derailing in progress!!
I donât think you can derail this thread, unless you started discussing the Roman Empire or something non-happening like that.
Whatâs happening in Japan Legal? Still chomping KFC?
Hey,..

End-of-year cleaning is happening. Sensible countries do this sort of thing in the spring, but not here. Thankfully today was unseasonably warm so I was able to clean the outside (windows and front door) without the usual frostbite that comes with using cold water when itâs about three degrees.
Of course, the inside gets done in great detail as is the Japanese way. So, kind of knackered right now.
I donât know about everyone else, but I find myself coming here more and more often than before. Social media has really become a cesspit of late. All it is is Clickbait or rage bait or some kind of statement or visual cue to generate engagement. With no intrinsic value whatsoever. Here, I get to interact with my fellow fans many of whom I am sure Iâd be friends with in real life. And thatâs a lot more meaningful to me.
Long time ago I had a SA manager, who, after an after-work drinks session, went (in his thick South African accent) âI need to go home and oil my deckâ
Cue stunned looks from everybody
I gave up on Twitter a couple of years ago and actively avoid it now. Facebook used to be the place I kept up with friends and family that I know in real life, but I rarely see them post anything anymore. I think half of my friends list are actually dead.
I am on Bluesky for what itâs worth, there is a small but active LFC community and I have a couple of other interests where people post. Although, I suspect that half of it is lefty comedians and furries. Not that I have any problems with them. In fact, I have had some great interactions about team tactics with an amusing socialist anthropomorphic wolf.
Glad to hear youâre keeping everything shipshape L ![]()
What happens at NYE? More chores?
Oven cleaning
I donât know what to watch tonight.
Here are the choices. They are all on or over lap with each other time frame, so can only watch one of them.
Any suggestions?
-The Dark Knight Rises-ITV2
-Jack Reacher-ITV4
-Gangs of New York-Channel 4
Btw, watched âLove Actuallyâ this afternoon. I love that film. I never get tired watching it every year. I always cry watching it. ![]()
It is so funny, but sad and it kind of lifts you in the end.
Iâm seeing a way we want to play if Iâm honest. Iâm more concerned with the attitude of implementing it.
Out of those, Iâd probably go for the Dark Knight Rises. Christopher Nolan lifts the superhero film to something almost artistic.
Will watch this one then. Thanks for this @RedWhippet

The Roman Empire is very much still with us.
Who do you think invented that tunic youâre wearing?
Apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
Yes indeed. The past, present and future are all happening now in multiple dimensions simultaneously. There is no ânowâ or âthenâ, there is no existence or reality. Everything is an illusion, being is nothing and the universe is a dream.
Just remember that on New Yearâs Eve.
Eating and drinking. Lots of eating. And a visit to the local Shinto shrine to throw money in a box, clap our hands together and shake a big thick rope to ring some bells. At the same time, you make a prayer / wish for the New Year. The wish always comes true of course.
