Safe onward journey
Arrived at Heathrow.
That 14hr leg is a killer!
BA a bit tacky these days. The entertainment options are poor. They should link up with the BBC and basically have iPlayer on the plane.
I guess a lot of people use their own devices these days.
Anyway, completely knackered and I wonāt get home until mid afternoon ![]()
Singapore has been our airline of choice for many years between Oz and the Uk and elsewhere, never had a quibble over them.
Could have downloaded web series from Netflix and used them on your devices once airborne

Home early from work. Itās The Masters innit. Starts at 3pm here on ESPN. Iāve always loved this tourney. Great start from Rory yesterday and Iām cheering him on.
As a half decent golfer, single figure handicap, my mind always wanders when I watch his. What score would I shoot at Augusta playing the same tees and conditions? Would I break 90? I would have to say not a chance. Iām confident Iād get a few pars. A singular birdie would be lucky, but you never know.
But itās the big numbers that will get you. Watching MacIntyre shoot a 9 on a par 5 yesterday was tough viewing, but I would likely have a good few like that on my card.
Would I break 100? Probably not, though that would be the target. But I suspect it could even be a lot worse. The top tour pros are different gravy, but Augusta takes bites out of all of them.
Thereās a thread for that kind of thing. This oneās for me whining about my jetlag.
Iām off 12 and charging in post chemo. But my work around the greens is my weakness. Therefore I reckon not a chance of breaking 100 or even 120 around these treacherous greens.
I have a few mates who opened the wallet and are at Augusta for the Masters. Looking forward to the stories.
There is something about this event that makes it compelling viewing.
You are getting too big for your handbag.
Where did you go
Back to Berlin. -1° here this morning ![]()
Whistle stop! I admire your energy.
I bonked on my bike ride last night. Considerably shorter distance than travelling here from Oz.
I did cycle through Scotlandās East Coast golf area though. Muirfield etc.
Does that count?
ābonked on my bikeā. ![]()

Heās a lovely bloke, and quite a contortionist.
I did, itās horrible.
It wasnāt a completely floppy, falling off bonk, more a āshit, thatās all there isā bonk.
Thereās nothing worse than a floppy bonk ![]()
No agreed. Iāve had it once, several kmās from base. It lead to an extremely unpleasant and embarrassing hour.
Have had a pretty rough 18 months.
My now ex-wife had two miscarriages, an op for cancer, depression and decided to leave what has been a very happy marriage of over 20 years.
Devastated to lose her (she wanted to start a new life). I am keeping the house and the two kids and stepping up to be primary parent/solo dad.
Signing legal papers this week. Will sound dumb but looking forward to it, As will no longer have to carry it by myself.
So sorry to hear that ISMF,all of it.It must been a terrible experience and has taken a heavy toll on you, your ex wife and the children.I hope you can all get to a place where this is just a distant memory with as few lasting effects as possible. My heart genuinely goes out to you and your family.
Wish you well, courage.
I raised my 2 from the ages of 3 and 4 years old. Could have been a lot better if I hadnāt had serious health issues. Even so Iām very proud of them now.
I kept a good relationship with my ex despite her marrying and causing unnecessary problems at times.
Iām a real lone wolf so perhaps a bit easier for me than for many as well as being very stubborn.
I kept the house however as it was rented it didnāt help the owner wanted to sell it soon afterwards.
