When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim! (Part 3)

To be fair to him, their last game was a week ago against Wolves, and I don’t think he would’ve left some of them to rest for 10 days before the Bilbao match.

Having said that, after the first leg, they have Brentford and then the second leg, so he should definitely be resting players in the PL game.

Isn’t that when the day trippers arrive?

And the players.

This is a reasonable point except it was Amorim himself who set those expectations for using youngsters with his own comments. I am just responding to what he has asked the fans to expect from him and the side.

BACK ON OUR PERCH!!!

Wishing Sir Alex a long and healthy life.

Would be a shame if he’s not here for our #21 anymore.

All the more reason to do this again next season.

Imagine what a shit day… they get to celebrate a tap in equaliser against Bournemouth and their rivals win their 20th to retake the honour of England’s best club and even a European trophy won’t take the bitterness away.

After a fan from around 93-94 this is amazing, all those bellends at school.

And in the first of those 3 seasons we were shit, to the point that Klopp’s position was being questioned and the club were forced into starting a rebuild.

Ah but it’s the worst Man Utd side ever…

They can still underperform the 42pts in 77-78 if they fail that it will be their worst season since they were relegated in 73-74 (32 points).

Took them a bit longer to fall that far this time 12 instead of 7 then again football was more equal then.

Are those totals adjusted for 3 points for a win? It would have been 2 points back in those days right? So in theory this season is much worse than either?

No, unadjusted. They had 10 wins and 12 draws, which would put them on 42 points in the modern system, which is convenient to adjust for a 38 game season (if you believe it’s possible to adjust these things like that).

But they’re currently on 39 points.

Assume that’s the relegation season? Lol, in 1978 they finished with the modern equivalent of 58 points (16 wins, 10 draws), so even accounting for a 42-game season that’s well ahead of where they’ll finish this time (that year they finished 10th out of 22 teams).
