Problem is they haven’t got someone saying no to him, it’s a bit like when Rodgers was here, our team is being categorised as all over the place and yet we still seemingly signed 2 guys who are perfect and 2 who look promising.
There is no one we signed that Man United couldn’t have had a go at, we beat them on Nunez because we had been CL finalists. They’ve spent more than us this window again and I’m not sure what value they got for it and too many signings seem to be managerial related.
Saying that whoever scouted Onana must have just been watching YouTube clips, he surely wasn’t this bad in Italy? The young lad seems a bit better than I expected but is far off the radar of how they were pitching him and that’s it.
Every signing is the “best ever” and when they play they aren’t. I’m not sure you’ll get it from Onana and their blueticks laughably post how Dom is average even after about 3-4 motm displays.
Hojlund looks interesting. For a player of his size, seems to have good pace, engine and his close control especially caught my eye. Looks like more proper #9’s are more wanted on the market again, especially if they tick a lot of boxes in terms of skills. Finding ways of getting more players in midfield or centrally perhaps helped the solution to fit in players like that in teams.
Read an article last night that Bruno had the most FIFPRO minutes of any player in the world last night. This is a big issue with ETH - he has players that he literally never drops no matter how they’re performing.
