Not only Alvarez, but they sold a good few players and brought in Savinho. Ended the summer with a profit of €140m.

I assume they’ve turned the corner again.

Just heard a commentator say this result against Rangers might be the turning point in Utds season…

Needed an own goal and a 92nd min winner from the rat, to beat a team of part timers from Scotland

It’s time for those scarves United fans…

with The 1958 arguing in a letter to the club that ticket price increases are “a choice, not a necessity” and that it is a “myth” to suggest they are required to remain competitive.

Some common sense from the supporters, which is totally impossible to understand from a capitalist Titanic.

In Spain you have Barcelona, and in UK you have Manchester United.

200m (both transfer and wages) spent on Casemiro + Antony and they wonder why they are failing PSR.

The FAB made me think of Thunderbirds, which is quite apposite since Old Trafford is about as hi-tech as Supermarionation.

That is an astonishing letter. The brass neck of those cunts to waste so much money of average footballers, to allow the wage bill to spiral out of control, to hire and sack sporting directors at huge expense within months, terrible manager appointment after terrible appointment, and then say the fans and ancillary staff have to foot the bill.

But the biggest thing that would piss me off as a fan is signing it ‘Manchester United’. No, whoever wrote that front it. Own it. Don’t hide behind the club crest. And what’s the implication here? The people responsible for writing that are the club and the people it is addressing aren’t? That would really make my blood boil.

The “compete on the pitch” was the best part.

They are competing on the pitch. Competing to avoid relegation.

The only man who can steer Manchester United back to former glories is…

I think I want this to happen possibly more than anything else in the world.
