Which CM do you want?

Even if none of those 3 suffer a serious injury, all 3 are guaranteed to miss games with minor injuries

We can easily cover for minor injuries - Elliott was getting a lot of plaudits for his performances before he got injured last season. I would also be happy to put my faith in Keita and Jones to deliver next season.

Would I like an additional midfield signing, yes - (I think it is something the club are actively working on) but if it doesn’t happen I’m not going to worry.

He looked decent for Lyon. I guess not good enough for our scouting dept.

Yeah, I don’t see it as a major issue either. Jones or Elliot having to start against a top team might not be ideal but it also isn’t the disaster it’s being made out to be. And the thing about young players is they tend to get better.

That said, Matheus Nunes seems to be the right type of player if what I’ve read is a fair portrayal. But I don’t want us to sign a midfielder just for the sake of it, there’s no desperate need, it needs to be the right player.

First it was Vieria and and now it looks like Vitinha leaving Porto with reports PSG have agreed a fee of 40 million for him. What other Portuguese starlets are there now we can obsess over signing despite never having seen play (10 times)?

I want to play Elliot and sign no one. Time for him or Curtis to stand up.

Sekou Fofana.

Brilliant player.

Kone or Caicedo.
Bellingham or Barella.
Plus a canny Bosman.

Someone to mind the shop, protect the defence, but cover the ground much better than Fabinho.

Someone to be an all rounder, and if Bellingham, to boss it for years to come.

Someone to help the numbers, if the midfield reset cuts deep, and I like the look of MacAllister at Brighton as a canny Bosman.

It would cost a lot of money, but a midfield overhaul is needed.

Is mcallister leaving Brighton on a Bosman. I like him

Yes. (Or at least he has not signed a new deal).

Good age. Argentinian. Prem experienced. A lot to like for a Bosman.

We need more for our midfield, but if the reset goes beyond just contract expirations, I’m thinking we will need to spend a lot of money, and a shrewd Bosman would help too.

If we decides to play 4-2-3-1 with double pivot from now on, then Declan Rice is definitely an option.
