At this point I expect us to sign Barcola and Diomande to sign for PSG.
Can anyone see us use Szoboszlai primary on the right. I mean what if there’s simply not enough money available to sign two wide players this summer?
Having watched some videos on how Iraola has set up his teams over the years, I think Szoboszlai might be in central midfield. Initially I was thinking maybe he’ll use him as the #10, with Wirtz on the left, but it seems like those who are more clued up tactically than me think he’ll be one of the two CMs.
I think we’ll get at least one winger, and we still have Ngumoah and Gakpo. But yes, until we see what Iraola actually intends to do, it’s a whole lot of guessing.

Any chance we’ll sign a Fabinho type of deep lying midfielder?
Hard to say, but again based on what others say, I would think they won’t look for that sort of stationary defensive midfielder.
But.. honestly I’ve no idea what to think. The big takeaway for me so far is that Iraola isn’t the type of manager who has a fixed formula and needs certain player types to fit into that formula. Seems like he’ll look at the characteristics of a player and decide how and where the player can best use his strengths.
So I’m not really expecting anything, apart from half expecting something unexpected a la turning Gini Wijnaldum into a defensive midfielder.
