Your disappointment is palpable ![]()
But then when weāre linked with someone of that ilk, like Akilouche for example, we get people saying heās not the type we need or heās not established enough at the top level.
100%..also i dont want people signing personally with the expectation to be a squad player (eg sat on the bench)ā¦i want everyone we sign to think they are the best for the starting 11
Neco left because we had Trent and Bradley. If weād kept him against his wishes heād have probably left on a free anyway. Heās essentially been gone for four and a half seasons if you include his loan at Fulham and itās only last season he might have got much of a game.
The Quansah decision still baffles me. Iām not as high on him as some but even if he only ends up being a Wes Brown/John OāShea type we could have used him plenty.
Very concerningā¦
Hmm interesting point. Could be right.
Then again, everyone knew Salah and Mane before their big moves to the PL.
Either way, doesn“t seem to have made teams any better at getting it right.
Iām fairly chilled at this point. We need to do business, and we will. Thatās of course in addition to Jacquet and Munoz.
Iraola is running the rule over them at the moment. Lots of youth and fringe players are in the mix, and Iām sure he is weighing which of these can do a job for us sooner rather than later.
Then we will have to see who might want a move, as that will have an impact. Curtis Jones looked all but out the door, but perhaps now he is more in than out, though signing a new deal will help answer that one. MacAllister had a good World Cup and he is obviously a good player, but will there be other suitors and might he be open to a deal that would see us bring a different midfielder in? Cody Gakpo might have a question mark as a new breed of winger comes through under Iraola. Will he prefer to be more of a main man elsewhere, if he will only be a rotational option here?
Lots of questions, and Iām sure they are currently being answered, behind closed doors.
And as for incoming, the players we want are likely, for the most part, to be desirable for other top teams, so thereās a sense in which the dominoes are going to have to fall once moves across the industry start to be made in earnest. At that point Iām confident we will have multiple options in mind for a couple positions, depending on how the variables pan out.
The clock is ticking, and we donāt have unlimited time, but we are nowhere near the stage where Iām starting to panic.
Guys you know who has been one of the fastest players on the right (other than Salah) and is now a free agent?

Iām fairly chilled because Iāve accepted the fact that there is no āperfectā transfer window for us this summer.
Not blaming anyone that there is no suited RW available but Iām blaming the club for not even trying to develop a Salah backup (not saying successor) in the last two or three years.
Exactly. Itās not like this situation was impossible to predict.
Harvey Elliot?
Maybe that was the thinking? Maybe still is?
Last season both Wirtz and Rio played there at different times. I think in the last few years weāve consistently had a lot of high calibre players who prefer to play on the left. When Salah wasnāt available it was normally one of those who filed the void. Most frequently Jota. Rightly or wrongly that blocked the path for a specialist right winger to play back up.
Last season Wirtz and Rio both played off the right at different times. I wouldnāt be surprised if one them is favoured there next season.
Iām not sure Iāve got a point Iām trying to make. But if I do, maybe itās that hoarding left wingers has led to this problem. And it looks like thatās something we are still doing.
ESPN and Fox Sports are very excited to constantly tell me that Tyreek Hill would easily be the best soccer player of all time if he just trained for it because heās really strong and fast - so I think by that logic Adama Traore would be a great signing?
Was watching this video of Alex Scott in their recent friendly
I know a few of our fans rate him and would be happy if we signed him.
For me he“s fairly skilful but doesnt understand the value of an early pass. He loves messing around with a little dribble instead of just passing it and i think it kills a lot of moves“ momentum.
Is just a friendly though
Who is he? But more importantly what do we think heās looking at?
Iām sure Matty knows.

& Matty is
If Rodri forces a move to Real surely means one of Camavinga or Tchouameni is on the move.
