We saw very little interplay between Dom and Nyoni and we mostly smothered Monaco.
We could have and should have been 3 or 4 up against Monaco and dominated Leeds in the 1st half and scoring hasnāt been an issue.

We did well against Monaco. Smothered them. We didnĀ“t play through them all that much other than the goal but we had a good game. TheyĀ“re not very good, mind. Against Leeds we didnĀ“t create very much though. We had a lot of the ball. I didnĀ“t see much penetration there.
I suspect we will have the same midfield issues as last season when we get to the real games.
Is it the deep defending teams you worry about?
Well all teams really but yes especially challenging with those.
There are levels to this game and being able to open up all teams consistently is key, and of course especially those that just sit back.
The real challenge is doing it while you remain solid. ANyone can score 4 goals and let in 4 but to play from a solid platform and still consistently open teams up is the real goal imo.

No. Playing through is passing and moving though the lines of a side. We actually did it very well for the first goal. Was nice to see, as we donāt often

Djed Spence signing for Inter for 30m. Would have been a great signing to cover both full back positions. Kostas just isnāt quite at the level we need, love Bradley but he seems to have injuries and Frimpong was shite last season!

Was watching a video of Mbaye against Spurs earlier and he struggled to get past Spence.
Decent 1v1 defender.
Not worse than Trent a few years back.
So does that mean Spence is a good defender weāve missed out on or that Mbaye isnāt very good because he canāt even beat a former Spurs backup fullback so we shouldnāt be looking to sign him?
