Who would you buy? (Part 2)

All of their starting midfielders are quality players, along with some defenders and forwards. I would however skip Neto. I have a feeling he will never reach the level people hoped or expected of him. But to add another name to the already obvious or mentioned ones, I like Gusto.

I’d take Caicedo although his agent is a bell. Who was the winger who started really well for them? Also, remember Levi Colwill? What happened to him?

Colwell was injured, ACL I think, also, Reece James would be a quality addition apart from being made of marshmallows

There won’t be a Chelsea end of season sale, where we can paw the merchandise and throw unwanted stuff back on the heap.
Caicedo is quality, but remember he chose Chelsea ahead of us, makes him suspect in my view.

I’m not sure it was that simple. He felt he had given them his word, and didn’t want to go back on it.

My mate is a huge Anthony Gordon fan (:person_shrugging:) and asked me today if I’d swap Gakpo for him. So I’ll pose the question to you all. Would you do that deal?

It would give us another home grown player, but I personally think Gordon is a liability.

No. Gordon isn’t right for us and I think if Cody was properly utilised and coached he’d provide more on balance than Gordon. Personally I think we need better than either but if we were to go to two up top then Cody could be a satisfactory reserve (with the requisite coaching/utilisation)

I think I’ve seen @Bekloppt wearing that around Sydney - he’s jsut missing the man-bag satchel.

Would I swap Gakpo for Gordon?

Possibly. But I’d want to know what other business we are doing on the wings. If Gordon is it, then no deal. But if Gordon is one of two new wingers, I would do it. We need pace on the flanks.

As for the dickhead stuff, he is a player who aggravates, mostly with his diving but also with going in OTT. I don’t think he does the latter stuff against most other teams, but seems to reserve it for us as he is an amped up Liverpool reject from his youth, who then played for Everton. It’s a fine line between love and hate, and he gets stuck in against us because he wants to be here.

If he came here I would expect him to tone it down and use his footballing ability to help us.

Suarez was a bit of a dick before he got here. And whilst he was here. And after he left too. But whilst he was our dick we bloody loved him.

Would happily have Gordon here and the first time he scored against Newcastle or Everton and acted like a dick to them we’d all absolutely love it.

If the question is a straight swap like that and there is no financial aspect to be taken into consideration then yes, I would.

Gordon is a better player than Cody.

Why would be alright with Dom and Ekitike but not Gordon? This ā€œdickhead testā€ stuff is nonsense.

My concern with Gordon is that he has made his reputation running in space that teams give him, and he is not getting that space for us.

At this point I can’t be sure Jaidon Anthony isn’t a better player than the giraffe. You’d like to think so right? One plays for Liverpool, the other Burnley. Usually these things alone would be set in stone, but nowadays I’m no so sure how much that counts for.

I have no conclusive, presentable evidence to go by that sways me one way.

At this point in time…who would want to join LFC…
