The key was a coherent way of playing to get the best out of the TEAM, but no you lot want new shiny toys again.

That works if you have the best front 3 in the world and the best attacking full backs in the world as we did.
We have none of that now.
Also, as good as we were, you could argue that team lost 5 out of 6 titles to a team that had a much better midfield. Bigger squad too, but in the first team the midfield was the only area they had better than us.
If you could just get any old players and win stuff, Grimsby Town would have as good a chance of winning.

Why were our front 3 and full backs so good, because of the middle of the park doing their work and covering their arses.
I’ll add Bobby to that because he was the focal point for the front 3.

They were so good because they were unbelievable players.
And yes, having hard working players helped them. They´d have been as good or even better with Rodri, De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva in midfield though.
Yet that same midfield won the title, they need direction and a better tactical plan, which has been non existant this season as Arne tinkered too much

Says everything about you as a supporter, just spend spend spend, when a great coach can get the best out of what he has and on a far less budget.
Jurgen bought those players you want to get rid of, so then slag him off for wasting our money.

It’s the right combination that’s the main thing. With Hendo, Gini, Fab, Milner, even Keita we had that.
Hendo’s reading of the game and movement was world class! Gini’s ability to keep possession under pressure and come out with the ball was world class. Fab’s ability intercept the ball was world class.
Don’t get me wrong, our current three are very good when they are at the top of their game. But our previous lot were better.
