Who would you buy?

What’s the average number of first team squad players that we see move on in a summer? 6 feels a lot. Although understandable why we might see as many as this if not more move on.

I can’t see us moving Bobby along.

And I don’t think we’ll move Ox on either

Firmino is the oldest from our Front 3 and most ‘criticized’. Might happen that he will be the one without a contract extension in the end and we would try to cash in on him.

Might look for a move to sunny spain. Replacing Suarez at Atlético comes to my mind.

Possibly, but not sure Klopp shares the fan criticisms. May well also be the player who ages into a bench role (like Milner) as he is very much a player who works for the team.

Clearly not, but it is interesting he is the most notable player not to have yet been offered a new contract (as far as we know).

I think Im happy Mbappe goes to Real and we miss out on Haaland.

This gives us a free run at Bellingham (transfer) and Fatsi and Pedri on frees.

Rejuvenate the midfield and get that attacker to complement the 4 and start to transition the old.

Don’t think so. I can see other clubs like Utd going in for Bellingham, maybe even City and Chelsea too. At least one of Pedri and Fatsi have clauses that allow Barca to extend their deals by a year. I fully expect Barca to sign them both to longer deals though given the efforts they went to at the close of the window to move players off the wage bill. If they don’t then again, they will be targets for the usual suspects too.

The new contracts have pretty consistently been offered with 2 years remaining - not sure when Firmino’s current deal ends?

Sorry the more I see of him the more I am convinced -
We have to go in for Haaland

In two years…June 2023. Transfermarkt don’t have any mention of a clause to extend the deal.

Fatsi? Fats Domino?

Yeah, bring him in. Should do better than Origi.

Just saying. I signed both Pedri and Fati for 20mil combined. In Football Manager. It’s a sign.

Just because we haven’t heard anything doesn’t mean negociations aren’t under way. We have seen this with others when approaching the 30 year old mark. It’s delicate both for club and player considering we hear very little from Firmino’s agent ever and knowing the club like to keep info close to the chest I reckon we can be sure that negociations are underway. Sure as with Gini it will get hot if this goes on a year and more however I pretty secure that Bobby will be with us when he’s 33.
