I think Bournemouth already has a replacement in Soler planned.
One more signing who we should have potentially been in a position to buy and then loan.
Who knows. Getting in Kerkez and probably Kelleher moving there next season in a player plus cash deal. Bournemouth won’t be able to keep hold of Kepa.
The good news is that Van Dijk has signed an extension. We still need reinforcements in defense. Particularly on the left side. Let’s sign Kerkez and take care of that need now. Robertson is in decline and the longer we wait the higher the pricetag gets to replace him.
The other side of that is Bournemouth might want to bed Soler in for half a season behind Kerkez before he is a first team regular. And on our side - though this is the smallest issue as it will just be six months - I doubt we want to carry three left backs at a first team level, so one of Robbo or Tsimikas needs to go if/when we bring in Kerkez.
I’m not the one who only ever comes on here during transfer windows and to talk about spending money without understanding the concept of money to begin with.
Has anyone watched younger Bellingham, what kind of a midfielder is he? If Liverpool need to sign a homegrown player this summer, could he be an option to replace, say, Endo?
While we’re on the younger thing, seems like there is an Mbappe in the Lille side. Is he related to Kylian? Anyone done the requisite 10 games? Frenchies…Flobs perhaps?
Aye, that’s Kylian’s younger brother. I have no idea what his ceiling is, but he has barely played and isnt considered anything like the same level of prospect Kylian was at this age.
OK, I said I would never ever again wish for a player to sign for Liverpool on the account of him being good against Liverpool in any competition but am I the only one who was impressed with a few Lille players, for example that kid Haraldsson?
Lille were a pretty well drilled unit last night but I was impressed by the technical ability of their players and fearlessness in possession. Haraldsson and David stood out for me as players who could be of interest to Liverpool, though I liked Alexsandro’s technical ability as well.
I liked his movement a lot, as well as some interchanges with his teammates. He didn’t look like a mere poacher to me, he took part in building attacks and pressing. Also, a small matter of scoring a goal when playing with ten men…
They seemed well drilled, so that probably makes individual players look even better, but I wouldn’t mind such a player replacing Jota.
