I. Was watching him against manure and he was everywhere in the front line tormenting slabhead.
Yeah, he looked like someone who can play inside right half-space, #10, very much a combination type of player between the lines.
If we sign Cherki, we need to sign a proper DM to accompany him. Cherki relegates Szobo to the bench.
For the first time in a while I dont feel compelled to engage at all in the game of picking who I want to see us go after. That may change once the actual footie stops and I get sucked into the debate, but for now I am content to just sit back and trust the lads in charge and let them cook. All signs point to them planning on making some moves this summer. They have my faith that they’ll do the job they need to do, so my investment will wait until we see a lean and then I start getting excited about the guy who has signed rather than getting worked up about the players I think we need.
I love the idea of Huijesn. And Cherki. And many of the other players mentioned. But am not going to invest in the idea because if Hughes and Slot want to add in that area of the pitch they’ll have an idea about it and if they dont then its means theyre already happy with what we have and that is even better. And on and on.
It is an incredibly weird feeling
I’ve had the feeling since 2018. Never had a problem since then, as you just know they will get it right more often than not, because the process is the right one.
Ditto.
I do like Kerkez and would like for us to sign him. But with Edwards back and Hughes seemingly being good, im also making the wait and see approach.
Ok, hear me out for a second…

From what I’ve seen of Nuno Mendes (only the CL) , he seems pretty awesome.
No doubting he would be expensive. But how would he rate against someone like Kerkez?
Why don’t you look on FBRef?
Lazy twat.
I’d rate @Sweeting 's and others views over Fbref.
And proud.
Had Mendes in mind last year as he was approaching the final year of his contract. But recently signed a new one.
Someone that slipped past my notice the last season. But what I’ve seen of him this season , he seems very very impressive.
Fbref.
I don’t want to just rely on the stats as the league’s are different.
This is the comparison between
Robinson , hall , Kerkez , Mendes , Robertson & ait Nouri.
Porro looks a good player in a shite team. RB option for us?
I have to check how his stats compare to Trent’s (although, in my opinion, I think that Bradley is stylistically more similar to Porro) but I’ve been impressed by him every time I saw him play. Fast, energetic, nice technical ability, covers a lot of ground - he’d probably be great at Liverpool. It’s a shame he’s at Tottenham really.
Some under-the-radar players I’m excited about:
Jhon Lucumí
6’2”, versatile two-footed center-back who can slot into LB, LCB, RCB, RB, or DM. Physically dominant, with sharp game intelligence and composure in any scenario. Mentally tough, he thrives defending high or holding firm deep. A fierce tackler, interceptor, and ball-progressor—essentially a superior version of Akanji.
Equi Fernández
A deep-lying playmaker who controls games with line-breaking passes from either foot. He glides past opponents on the dribble, covers massive ground, and wins battles with a gritty mindset.
Leopold Querfeld
6’3” right-sided center-back. A defensive rock with impeccable tackle timing, box awareness, positioning, and spatial instincts. Excels in aerial and ground duels, whether defending high or low. Poised under pressure, technically sound in passing and carrying. A calm, reliable presence—truly a gem.
Kevin Lomónaco
A 6’4” powerhouse who’s lightning-fast and agile. Elite passing and carrying, a relentless dueler, and a natural leader on the pitch.
Martim Fernandes
A dynamic, aggressive right-back who’s a standout athlete. His carrying and passing from deep are top-notch, often resembling a creative #8 with his key passes. His mentality and polished skillset are remarkable for his age.
Christian Kofane
6’2” and ridiculously athletic, with a striker’s instinct for movement. His technical ability shines in link-up play, and he exploits half-spaces while retaining possession. Relentless in pressing and dueling, his €5M release clause is a steal.
Johnny Cardoso
An absolute standout. A double-pivot LCM who orchestrates play with exceptional passing range, timing, and vision. Agile, quick off the mark, and strong in duels. His high football IQ and game-reading ability make him a Locatelli- or Rodri-style #6.
Nah he’s spurs it’s a curse…
Actually I can’t think of anyone we have signed from Spurs.
Ah I’m glad its not some club legend….
