Women's Football: General Discussions

You clatter a player like that right and proper the first opportunity to make sure they know you mean business and that there is a price to pay for being a dirty fucker

England are the better side but final ball and decision making around the penalty area is poor.

Oh ffs! This is what happens when you give good players time on the ball

Is Pickford in goal for England?

Think Earps jumped too early

English started much better but Columbia grew into game and looked better last 10, seem quicker to all the loose balls, English don’t like the ball pressure, look tired all the sudden

I’m laughing at the commentary on US TV calling it a brilliant finish - rather than a badly hit cross.

Have to close out a lot quicker if youre the English LB.

That’s one lucky goal :star_struck::heart_eyes:

I actually thought it had deflected but that wasn’t a shot

This is the thing, and also allowing crosses…you can’t do that…you have to force them back.

It was a shank. Think that’s why Mary gets caught out, it was travelling slower than she thought.

It’s a problem for all the women keepers. They don’t have the height to reach the bar without jumping so are far more prone to be chipped like that.

I did think she should have done better there, though.

The US commentary has been cringeworthy throughout. It’s like they are talking to people who have never seen a football match before.
Is it always like that?

Goal was a fluke, obviously.

Anything broadcast on fox is awful. Been awful for years. EPL on NBC is great, they do really good job.

Oh for fucks sake

how the fcuk does that happen

Wow, what a shambles. Counts, though.

Oh my goodness. I didn’t even see that because I turned around thinking the goalkeeper had it.

This Colombia team is pretty bad to be honest. Caicedo aside.

More crap goalkeeping

Nothing lucky about the goal, their goalkeeper didn’t gather the ball, she made a complete mess of it.
