Agreed, and had we lost we’d only have ourselves to blame. It’s almost like the early chances made us think “Yeah we’ll be okay tonight” and maybe relaxed a bit too much midway through the first half and let Colombia have too much of the ball.
Their goal was a fluke. That was miahit cross that fooled Earps into jumping for it too early and snuck in. But then again Colombia were allowed other bitter chances which they fluffed.
When this England team focuses their collective minds though, there’s enough quality on the ball and finishing to produce a goal against any team. Colombia may have gifted us the equaliser but that’s the result of keeping their defence under pressure.
Our second was things falling just right for Russo. She can definitely finish. She was the physically imposing centre forward we needed her to be today.
No idea what will happen in the semis. But I believe in this England team.
Russo was definitely man…no sorry……woman……sorry again, I mean player of the match by a mile.
