Have you seen our women’s team at Tranmere? I’d assume that the tickets are easier to get than at Anfield.
I haven’t mate. I rarely go to live matches any more to be honest. I’m going to enjoy following the national side and league highlights tv shows from now on. Would be great if I develop a natural affinity to one of the league sides though, in which case I might start showing up! I don’t know anything about women’s football so it’s a bit like being a kid again, except the players are fit as fuck and under no circumstances should I turn up alone to watch the U15s.
Spain deserved champions. Well played. They’ve got some real good players, and having won the u17 and u20 world cups, some emerging players no doubt as well.
The rules are the same but the players are more attractive and have longer hair.
Is there a Sam Allardyce of women’s football? The whole set up seems to be more streamlined.
Pretty much the way USWNT play. And the Germans aren’t far away.
There was a fair bit of that by the Colombians and the Spaniards.
I am reminded that before Spain became the tiki-taka nation they used to be the dirtiest bastards in European football. Just watch the Platinisation Euro final.
I hope we get a replacement for Bronze soon . She is very good but prone to indiscipline. We got away with her gaffes in the qualifiers but it cost us dearly today.
Sweden kept it tight against Spain and even through they conceded, they were able to equalise quickly. They just conceded again very stupidly.
Yeah, there was a bit of ingrained shithousery, but nothing anywhere near the standard seen in the men’s game. Even in the final there were a few tackles that were shaken off, whereas their male counterparts would have required a private helicopter to take them to Cedars-Sinai if it had run the clock down by 30 seconds.
Olga Carmona, who scored Spain’s goal, found out after the game that her father had died. I’m really lost for words.
That’s terriblly sad. RIP.
Phew
Do you mean someone that looks like a Hippopotamus…!
On a side note, I tried to go to the derby when they had it scheduled at Anfield last year, but hotel prices were insane.
I nearly always stay with family so that isn’t an issue for me. The problem is that I don’t get that many opportunities to visit and it is usually at short notice so it would be nice if there were match-tickets available at short notice.
I think there were still tickets available for that one on the day? I was really sad to have missed it, was hoping to have it be the cornerstone of my first visit to the city.
Was that on a Saturday?
It’s problematic, I usually stay over if it’s a Sunday game (Anfield mens) but yeah Saturday is just too expensive.
Probably try to actually get down to Kingston ground for our Chelsea away game this season.
Seriously guys, it’s not that hard to keep it in your pants.
He didn’t shag her live on the podium.
Jesus wept.
Alternatively, don’t force yourself onto a woman, even for what you think is a platonic kiss. It’s not a challenging idea.
It was in many ways the perfect coda to a really good tournament. The women did everything they could to get the respect they deserve. The men involved then did everything we thought they might to show why they dont deserve our respect.
