Yankuba Minteh (RW) Brighton

I think they’re still pissed off at us for selling them Benteke, Sakho, and Clyne (although Nat didn’t do too badly for them)

Supposedly reliable for Gambian players (can’t lie my knowledge of Gambian sports journalism is limited)

A second bid rejected. Either we want all three wingers or we view Minteh as more attainable than Mbaye

Never doubting Foday Manneh again. Always said he was the Gambian Joyce

For more than 50 mil I think I´d be tempted to get Barcola (assuming we can) and take a punt on Osorio for like 20 mil and then put the rest of the money towards an RB, CB or in a dream world, a CM and DM.

Minteh is a good solid player but potential world beater, I think not.

i guess you right, 65 it is

Even Joyce crediting the GOAT Foday Manneh

unfortunately in todays market 60 million is for an average player at best. world beaters start at about 110

Indeed but you can get players who will or could be world beaters, perhaps. Not from English teams though.

But if not, I wouldn´t sign an average player and I´d save up for somebody who will be a top player.

Said its before, I like minteh.

i think the other issue is psg charging us a premuim, unlike when bayern L, was close to an agreement at 50 million euros. so it looks like price went way up with our interest

Well £66m+ to at least double their £33m

Over 2 seasons in the PL he has 9 goals and 8 assists, not home grown and has recently had surgery so not fit to play - I don’t get the appeal

I know price/value is based on what someone is willing to accept or pay but Transfermarkt estimate his worth as €45m so even £39m would be overpaying

we out of runaway at this point. hughes is doing deals from his new office in saudi. AI needs wingers

Unless theres a release clause we’re pretty shit at bidding

Could be the case. Minteh is a decent enough player anyway.

I just tend to think, is this really the best all our data and transfer talent can do?
I expected more up our sleeve really. Some fans go on about how well informed clubs are and the data they have, and yet we are going after Minteh and Mbaye.
