I didn’t see this one coming and for what would still represent serious money, but there you go. His development has gone a bit slower than expected perhaps, but a nice little advantage is that he’s a lefty who proved he can do it on both sides. You saw Brighton using him on the left when he had certain struggles off the right. You don’t see that a lot in football and in an age when almost everyone wants to cut inside.

Do wonder if our third bid was accepted as we supposed to put one in on Sunday/Monday and we’ve heard nothing.
Nobody knows the exact timing of these things.
Either we hear that a bid is accepted or in a few days we’ll know for sure if nothing happened on this front.

This is true. I’d be cool with this if he wasn’t injured however it does look like he got a fair bit of pre season in him so he’s more likely a mid season injury rather than a back at square one.

He’s injured properly. Happened in the 8th of August Friendly.

It required surgery so you’d have to be pretty committed to feigning injury to go under the knife

Rio worries me. Lots of step overs but not a lot else. I know he is young. Did well for England. I think we need to manage him well. Newcastle was a wake up call.
